See very little purple granite here but I do run across some. Mostly pink and tan here. Is there a way to remove 25,000 years off of them? Haha. Have you heard from any old rockhounds about how they grow and change over time? People swear by it. Crystals heal cracks and get more clear and grow, just sitting there. Where is it getting the silica from to add to itself?
There might be something to that ! My area to the Appalachian mountains was formed when Pangia split up over 300 million years ago. That's how old most of the igneous rock is here ! Look up the Camp Basalt Event ! If I remember correctly it even caused a Snowball Earth !
Think about the pressures applied to granite, heat ,pezio electricity to . The cracks must fill relatively quickly under these conditions . Even when exposed to the surface the silica must be needing a place to go under the right conditions . It's like they slowly bleed out silica and minerals .

Tesla said a quartz crystal is a living being. I have a new favorite troll. He is a retired archeologist. You could literally lay 1000 mammoths out and he would deny them. I asked him if they make him sign a non disclosure agreement even after retirement 🤣

@Creekstain I thought I was the only one who has them changing over time! One day, my neighbour and I were sitting in the front and noticed a big rock had somehow walked from the backyard, up to the space in between our homes. Overnight! It hadn't been there the day before and then it was just sitting there! I convinced myself someone moved it, but my neighbour showed me the cameras. Nobody went there, no human at least. But the camera didn't pick up the rock moving either. 😕 I used to say fraggles live in the rock pile out back. Maybe they do! 😄
@AncintArt2ndColony I've never seen one like that! I wanna see it closer up and wet yes!!!! Around here the stones are all the colours but purple and blue are more rare
