For Entertainment Purposes Only This is a catalogue about the fish I keep, the environment or ecosystems they call home and my art that becomes living things! Everything from the fish and plants to pottery I make, to that tiny ecology with the biofilm outer layer to the bacteria, molds and fungi inside! Living Art!
Maybe pottery and fish keeping where among the first professions and may as well gone hand in hand!
Pottery may have been imitating the creation of life, as it requires a balance between the four essential elements, earth, water, wind, and fire! Let's not forget Mind!
I've been adding some of my Rock Collection in these videos! Weymouth MA. And the surrounding towns have amazing Geology and Archeology! It usually starts off with a cool looking rock and them I do some research. That's when some start to revel themselves as marvellous treasures of the past!
I am glad to be a part of their long continuing educational storys with the most gratitude and respect!

Love love love antique bottles. Especially the ones that are a colour
Sweet of him to send you some great ones!!!!!
Man, im so glad you like these. I really appreciate you sharing them and what you wee in them too, thats helpful to me in growing. So cool the way you showed them off with thst cool background! I appreciate you Jason!
@@CityRockhounding my pleasure ! I really enjoy looking and examining the pieces you sent me ! It's a very cool variety of different materials you found in a few different places ! I'll be making other videos of the other material too ! Thank you kindly for this opportunity ! I'll be sending you some stuff soon too ! I've got a few in mind already , one you already commented on how much you like it ! When I make a video on the Petrified Wood, do you mind if I explain how and why you have it !? Or, I can leave it more simple ?
@AncintArt2ndColony you can tell everyone how I found it, that's cool. I appreciate you doing these videos man, that means a lot.
I have a huge box of old brass also. You'd go nuts in my shop. Unfortunately most of my inventory is not currently listed. Life balance is not my strong suit and eBay has gotten less of my attention since RUclips. New obsession but eBay pays, RUclips doesn't...yet 😉
I paid $12 Dollars for the Brass Mariner Candle Holder 🕯️ ! I looked up similar ones and I got a pretty good deal ! The Eagles holding the flag with 13 stares makes it a very interesting piece for the time period in US history ! The fact that it was a Plymouth MA Museum Sale is an excellent variation ! If I found the right collector I could get some good money for it !
@AncintArt2ndColony Nice find, great deal 👍.
Ooh, you collect antique bottles also? Sweet. I'm a picker and have an eBay business. I've sold antique bottles and currently have a box of them to go through sometime. One of my favorites is a clear glass bottle I found in a road side illegal trash dump in the desert while looking for reptiles. It's turned a light purple tint over time. So nice. Cool bottles.
A lot of it I find myself, most of it is family heirlooms and some I get from antique shops and yard sales ! I've got way more , some the beer bottle style , some for water ! I'm trying to get twelve to fill a 12 pack early 1900's Narragansett Co . I'm half way there ! One is a Narragansett Co. Pre Depression Glass beer bottle ! And I have a ten gallon, or maybe more, glass bottle on a frame to tip it . It was for oil I heard, that's a family heirloom ! I should make some more videos of my antiques !
@@AncintArt2ndColony Yes, I'll watch those. Treasures 😯
Some great artifacts and stone reading. The colors are beautiful Bro. Your back drop really accentuates the stones. ❤em
Thanks Bro ! They are fascinating pieces !
Cool pieces. Thanks for sharing the rocks that were shared to you by Nic. I want to cut every one of those. I'm freaking out...in a good way 👍.
😂 I know you do ! You know I'm not ! 😊
@@AncintArt2ndColony Hey, rocks are beautiful on the outside also, otherwise there wouldn't be anything there that attracted us in the first place. We don't find them cut and polished. Enjoy your rocks 🪨
@CityRockhounding is a cool dude for sharing his treasures. I can’t think of anyone more deserving than you to be the recipient of that kindness. Enjoyed watching your video!
Thanks Man ! That is appreciated !
You both rock!
love seeing you use water .. they ALWAYS look better when wet in my op... really helps make the colors pop .. you have some great examples there
Thanks Gabe ! It's like day and night !
super cool finds .. thanks for sharing
Very nice. 👍
Thanks ! They are new to me !
Nice 👍.
Thanks Bro 👍
Hey Cool! They do look like shells 🐚
That's what got my attention !
I see now how it looks to be hollow and has a metallic silver look and sound. It probably was dual purpose and maybe money, coins, tobacco, hemp, seeds, or fire starters could be hid in there. Since its a house type item, it might not hold fishing hooks etc. Hmm. What would a child or woman hide in it. If it holds water, someone may have kept flowers in it for some time. To me the style looks like from the last 600 yrs, 25oo+ yrs ago, and 1ok plus yrs ago. One type of human may have made that for another type of human as a trade item. I didnt do a google image search. That would be interesting to see what it compares it too. AI had took over google lens last time i used it, so didnt try this time yet.. Thats a cool artifact and item. Im not sure what it is at the moment, but it gets a 1o for coolness for sure. It does kinda match an odd type of stuff i see some. I will get the piece of metal that looks simular in color and age tested to see what it is soon and if its something odd, will let you know. I like seeing stuff like that. I just urban salvaged some odd artifacts and they dont match any history we are told..
I agree, it's an interesting piece. I would love to see the results of your metal testing!
@@AncintArt2ndColony I have a strong feeling that there will be some good info on that. Im trying to go do that as soon as possible.
@thefenderbluesking I have a little collection of medal artifacts, very old , some meteorites ! One is a nice size palicite ! Very high and expanding vibe to it ! I'm an awair Empath !
Im proud to be the first like on this video. Thanks for mentioning the statue. This video should have 1oo likes by now. Im going to watch this a few more times in full and see if that matches anything ive seen. Whatever that is, its really cool looking. Its certainly a human related object and some type of artifact. Thats for sure. It looks authentic and old to me. Im not sure how old that would be but i have records of those kind of people living here long ago. Im going to watch this some more and thanks again for mentioning it.
@@thefenderbluesking he is holding a basket full of flowers that look like Datora and there are real set in little gemstones in the basket as well ! He is in the typical Faun stance with his feet on tippy toes as they had hoof like feet ! I find it incredible and fascinating considering the history ! This is a piece I treasure !
@@AncintArt2ndColonywow! Ok. Thanks for the details on that. Yeah, it does match that legend and history well. I see that. There are quite a few characters like that in history and old Amerian history. Many are aware of Pans origins in the Americas.. Kurimeo has done many many videos about simular stuff. If you type in AmeruKhan it should pull up his videos. It does match all of that well, doesnt it? I know the story from a different perspective and place. Its interesting to hear how you know the story. Its got more of an angel look than an elf look. Im going to watch the video again.
@@thefenderbluesking I don't know if you can notice the two little horns 😈 on his head , and he looks young . That , and what he is holding and how he is standing gave away his identity to me !
@@AncintArt2ndColony there might be a book here about the people with horns. They weren't all bad. Deer have horns and they aren't essentially evil in any way. I kinda know some of the good version of that tale. Pan and QuetzalCoatyl have a common link here. It's likely people have called anything they didn't understand a devil since the invention of guns and long before. I've also noticed that what is sacred to one group is often stolen and inverted to fit a nefarious purpose and intention for another. I need to get a book out where I can say more about this stuff. We had fun thinking about the item here. You might want to look some more where you found that.
@thefenderbluesking I'll have to dig deeper now the pool is gone ! When a pool company put in an above ground pool, the area had to be leveled out because it is on an incline ! This was about ten years ago, and they left a pile of stones in the yard and years later when I found out about portable rock art I went through the pile and couldn't believe the stuff I was finding ! I've been fascinated by these types of things ever since !
Ive been wanting to mention it, I have many a stone where the shell is a helmet. Hence a shell'met and now we call it a helmet. These people also knew about the creatute that makes its shell out of iron oxide from the volcano on the island etc. Not sure how they knew, but they carved the little metal shelled hermit crab things way before they were recently rediscovered. You may find that some of the shell art is carved from fossilized bone, whale bone, or ivory. -Or pieces mammoth and mastadon teeth. You guys may want to be careful with some of the shell items, there might be art on it that is difficult to see. I know of a place where the experts failed to notice that most of the shells are shaped like animals and fish etc. You may want to keep an eye out for decorated spoon like objects made from shells. Now, im searching for the statue video. Thanks for mentioning that👍
I saw a documentary about those iron shell volcano crabs ! That's one crazy adaptation ! One of these ones may be a fossilized bone ! That darker one , the end even looks like a bone .
@AncintArt2ndColony I have seen part of that documentary too and loved it. It reminded me of the old discovery channel in the 90s. The story of the volcano crabs is amazing. That's when I remembered about helmets and shell'mets. It's a lot more of a story than what I'm telling but it's all very interesting. You are right. Sometimes bone becomes gemstone or mineralized very heavily. We just looked at one that was carved into a bone shape but was fossilized ivory or mammoth/mastadon teeth material. Those you showed have a more porous look like they might have been bone at one time. Some of the ones like that certainly were once bone at one time. I would really like to share more about this later.
@@thefenderbluesking I have a few jars of the poris stuff , cut up small and a lot of it is burnt or looks boiled out . But they are stone hard !
@@AncintArt2ndColony that sounds exactly right. We see that some too. I really want to go into detail soon about some old stuff ive seen that really got my attention. Im working on aome ways to help teach people with these. The ones i have are a language of math, geometry, art, and history.
Good Information Jay!! Great delivery 👍🏻 you got eagle eyes
Thanks Bro ! Calling it like I'm seeing it !
I see the shell shape, the bird, the bird man, and the faces👍 your friend is right, you can see the 2 faces on the second one really well for a second when you are showing it. You got the right idea with the shells too. Many were used to make baby food, to mix nutrients, make medicine, or feed the old, sick, or injured. My dog has a shell that people used to use for food and water and he prefers it over any other bowl. A woman recently covered the gatherer and child raising part of archaeology and she did a great job sharing what she knew and had seen. I forget their name but they had good info about the shells and small items. I have some shell art ready for new photos and will share some soon.
right after you say .. this is what they tend to look like i spot a super face in that rock for just a second there
Yes, there are faces in the nooks , I see the face you're seeing ! That one has interesting stuff on it !
super cool
Cool collection my friend. 👍.
Thanks 👍
I know this is an older video but I just found you. Nice stuff. I can look at pottery all day. I love the little dish with the many fish. Nice design and color. Thanks for sharing. Fred
Thanks Fred ! I appreciate that !
They are little hammer tools that look like hearts. There is a side that is smaller for your hand or to tie a stick. I don't know if tiny people could have used them, children, or just something they carried for some reason, like something spiritual or a totem. Nice to share the hearts 😊
Thanks Tommy ! They do fit in the hand well ! Three different styles as well !
Autumn is awesome, and I would like to see more of that purple stone. Is it purple even when there isn't so much red light reflected on it from the leaves? Garnets? Lepidolite? Ha, I am looking for your basalts/rhyolites, nice to check out some of your videos. Thanks!
Yes, it's very purple in different lights ! It is in a previous video and I was showing it in the sunlight wet and dry ! It's very purple, white specks so maybe rhyolite ! I don't believe it is a pudding stone ! Lepidolite, I don't think so , no observable Mica and it seems harder .
I'll pull it out in the sun for a video one of the next sunny days I get ! I'll compare it to other smaller purple stones I have . Maybe some other rhyolite stones to compare as well !
@@AncintArt2ndColony Thank you!! I will be looking forward to it. I would also like to see a good showing of the black one with white feldspars in it, and other rock types. I love this purple one though.
@@AncintArt2ndColony I think I accidently clicked on dislike, LOL. It is a like now. Can you film it really up close too?
Dang Bro! You been holding out on us 🙃 Quality, lost out to Tecknology
Ya Bro ! I just got the Undertakers Embalming Fluid Bottle and couldn't resist !
Awesome collection my friend. 👍🥇.

Nice Ones Jay. I saw profile faces on a lot of em. Great finds 👌🏻
Thanks Bro 👍 this is just a few !

open mouth snake/turtle head for sure .. sweet find
super cool
You hit the jackpot on this one. A bird but multiple faces too. 🐦⬛🗿🗿🗿🏆
Thanks Bro ! This one is a really good example of this type !
Dang! I lost count on those faces after the bird…. So many from every angle ❤
I know Bro , right ! There all over it , stacked , sides , flipped ! The Screaming Man, stacked faces leading up from it , flipped and reversed !
@ For Sure! Someone was showing off when they made it👍🏻
👍
Thanks 👍
There is sooo much going on in that one. What a great treasure!
Yes, this one is a bit of a shifter !
The vibrant red is beautiful. We’re forecasted to get 2-4 inches of snow on Saturday which will surely bring any remaining leaves to the ground. I hope you can enjoy the color for at least a few more days. Thanks for sharing.
The leaves are just about all fallen now that it's been below freezing the past few nights ! Good to hear a little snow is on the way !
Man, I had to revisit these hulks… I need to venture out and find some.. These are super
It's an awesome branch of the study we do I believe ! They are relatively easy to find , you just can't take them with you 😂 ! Check around the borders of large complexes and off to the sides of roadsides ! That's where I usually see them grouped up and easily spotted ! The forests and woods are a good place too but they appear less arranged " appear " 😉 and you usually can't tell how much of it is underground . Those types in their natural positions would be a good place to poke around for some smaller things !
@ it’s definitely on my bucket list with railroad track fossil hunting 👍🏻
@@paleobrostones2023 just be careful on the tracks if you ever go ! I've almost been hit by a quiet fast moving commuter train coming around a bend ! Unused trax are best , or know the type of train 🚆🚂 and how often the scegual runs ! I stay off the tracks near me now ! I didn't find any fossils but some amazing artifacts ! Fossils are very rare in my area except for an outcroppings of sedementry slate dated to the Triassic Period ! I have yet to poke around that location but it's on my bucket list ! 🪣 🦴
Very nice collection my friend. 👍🥇.
Thank You ! I'm in love with the way they worked Granite ! Do you find any granite artifacts in your area !? I have no flint or chert in my area , slate rock is the closest thing to those brittle materials around here . It's not as brittle but breaks into sheets and straight lines very easily and they worked wonderfully with the slate rocks ! The pieces don't stand up to the test of time as well as the granite and quartz artifacts . What are some of the types of worked material do you find , I've seen a good amount of your finds , do you ever find granite . I'm sure you find quartz once in a while !?
@AncintArt2ndColony I've been finding alot of, Soapstone, Sandstone, Quartz and limestone, Granite I'm not to sure but some stones I found are multi colored not exactly sure what kind they are,I enjoy finding and seeing what other people find as well I learn through this knowledge something they don't teach in schools but here on youtube a hidden knowledge is a definite treasure. 👍
The mega boulder's. 👍🥇.
Thanks Bro ! Gotta respect these big pieces !
Awesome stone stacks! That heart stone towards the end made my day!
I love that tree! Is it a sugar maple or Japanese maple of sorts? I would hang out under there with the stones! You have some great ones there!
It's a Japanese Maple 🍁 I planted over 25 years ago ! It was only about a foot and a half when I planted it ! I've kept it relatively small and shaped well ! Thanks Bro !
@AncintArt2ndColony I have 2 but they have purple leaves and my sugar maples go pink in the fall. Variations and varieties. Yes yours looks very well maintained. It makes a big difference when it's done nice like yours!
I used to work at the Farm Stand - Nursery that I got it from . I picked it out of about 8 others and I think it cost 25 $ and it was a foot and a half without the pot ! I remember getting a good employee discount , I always wanted one in my yard, I just thought they looked so cool ! The only hard part was talking my mother into planting it in the front yard ! After I refused to plant it anywhere else , she caved in but she told me to keep it small ! So I did ! I trim and proon it a few times a year at least ! The base is nice and thick now and I keep it in a mushroom - ufo like shape ! Ya , there's so many different varieties and way more now I'm assuming 25 years later ! I've worked for quite a few plant nurseries and landscape companies , I used to know all the different names , genise and species , of all the plants shrubs and trees ! I still remember a good handful ! I used to make really cool Bonsai trees as well ! I have a geranium in a bonsai pot that is over ten years old now !
@AncintArt2ndColony man that is awesome! That's really cool that you have that experience and knowledge. I planted a catalpa 2 years ago. How do I determine what to cut off or which one stays as the leader. It's forked at the top and someone told me catalpa forks split later on in life and that I need a leader and to cut one off. Does that make any sense?
@@CreekstainYes, it makes perfect sense with many plants and is explained well in bonsai tree books and videos ! It makes the base sturdier and the plant will grow taller and you generally have an option to make the plant grow a certain direction ! Use copper wires wrapped around younger branches you want to slowly bend into position !
Nice, energetic I can sense it through your video.
😎👍🏻😎👌🏻😎
Wow very nice! This is awesome we are bringing a new wave to rock art! ❤
It's an awesome piece ! Thanks ! 👍
That’s amazing, 🤩
Thanks Bro 👍 it's a dark heavy chunk , I find black Quartzite once in a while , this is a large piece of this material for me to find !
Nice Piece Jay! I see a mammoth looking right . A good one and a face where your thumb is in the video. Definitely has lots of tool usage 👍🏻have a great day
Awesome piece Bro !
❤❤❤
Thank You 👍 🌎🌍
Oh my wow, so many, so detailed, that's awesome!
Thank Man ! It's heavy , and a really dark Quartzite !
