Hello, I have binge watched all your posts from the beginning over the past few weeks. I realize you think you should mostly do cabin stuff but I have really enjoyed the shop and apartment builds also. Your woodworking skills are amazing! Keep bringing us more of your remodeling if you aren't at the cabin! Hope to see you soon now that I am hooked!

I read the title to this video and laughed and thought "puh-lease, you are married, the real command control center is also known as the banker". It was nice you two got to go to the cabin for a break from a hectic life. I still want my cabin someday and look every week at property. It would have to be at least 20 acres so I had plenty of trees and wood for free heating. I too would go solar with a backup generator in case I needed power.
I get to dog sit my nieces german shepherd. He too will go to the window and look out and bark like he see's something that I just don't see. I let him out once and he ran straight to a tree so I assumed he saw the 2 squirrels that live up there. He's a God send to have if a stranger knocks at my door. My security door is always locked but they can also see I have one huge dog which makes me feel safe.

Just waiting on you. Real life has a way of intruding on all of our best laid plans. Just enjoy seeing your videos when you get around to them. No worries. In the interim, the wife built her first set of bifold doors for the pantry, made a 2nd queen sized bed, learned to use a router, table saw and other items (and now wants every power tool she sees), and says her two favorites are the biscuit joiner, pocket screw jig, and the router (make that 3). Her next project is butcher block counter tops from a bunch of nice, rough-cut hard woods we picked up from our Amish friends. (That also included some beautiful pieces of finished wood from an old grand piano and a parlor hutch). Our house is FINALLY finished around the exterior (we added an 8' x 40' covered porch along the side and an 8 x 24' covered along the back, plus some nice inset stairs. Inside of the house is oh so close. Finished floors are in, t & g ceilings are done, lots of little trim work left and one of the bedrooms upstairs and we're done. That 30 acres of woods will need some attention though!
