Thank you very much for all your videos! I have been watching your videos (old and new) for a few months now and have tried using a few different chairs for myself and practiced adjusting and sitting properly. I just a few weeks ago got myself a good condition Kinnarps plus 8 off eBay that I am now enjoying! (I agree with the headrest being very easy to adjust, I also want to agree with you that I didn't end up using it as much as I thought I would, its just a nice to have when listening to music and taking a short break). Getting used to sitting properly and not slouching was a little tiring and difficult at first but I am finding it easier to sit properly for longer periods of time now. I spend lots of time at my desk so I am very grateful for these videos and your manual helping me to enjoy good back health for a lifetime! Thank you very much!
I have the Kinnarps 6242, bought it used. and was wondering it is possilbe to head rest accessorie for this modell? if not, maybe there is some other headrest that you can attach to this model? I live in Norway, and i thinks Kinnarps is swedish?
Merci Olivier pour cette vidéo, je te rejoins à 100%. La têtière pour le repos. Effectivement, il est difficile d'en trouver une qui permette de régler avec un juste alignement la tête avec le corps.
Hi! The headrest of the Kinnarps Plus is the best one (ruclips.net/video/e2wwl6ZohLg/видео.html). If you can't find it, Steelcase Gesture is probably your second best choice. A great chair too, but in terms of headrest the adjustability is less.
So if you had to recommend a one-size fits MOST chair, off the cuff, would you say this one? The kinnarps? This week there is a good deal on Mirra 2's in my town, i am tempted to go for it. I got a Secretlabs chair and I hate it.
Earlier in my career, I participated in a global tender for office chairs for a large international organization. We compared many chairs and finally we ended up buying the predecessor of the Plus 8. For tall people we just had a large gas spring. For small people we had a short seat pan. So yeah, I know that the Plus 8 has a great satisfaction rate... I'm not saying it's the only good one out there, but it's a good shot.
@@OlivierGirard :P I paid for the mirra 2 and get it tomorrow. I tried it out and it for sure is a step up for me. I will keep the Plus 8 in mind for the future, because... knowing me, i might find something wrong with the mirra 2 in a while :D
@@OlivierGirard I just thought i would drop a line to give my initial impressions of the mirra 2 after receiving it today (just in case anyone sees this)... i feel like the seat will take a little getting used to for me, however, i would definitely say that it was worth the upgrade (for now). I will maybe update one more time in, say, 4 weeks.
there's one major difference: RH usually has the tilt axis under the front edge of the seat pan, which makes the seat much more instable. They are much more on the idea that "the best posture is the next one", with which I disagree (ruclips.net/video/Ndwmo333hxA/видео.html). But if you block it, it's a great chair :)
In some way I agree. But many of my corporate clients have so many crap chairs that often the question is: do we buy 75 chairs with a headrest of 100 without? Then, my answer is 100 without... because lower back support is so much more important and urgent!
Thanks Olivier, this is mono through my headphones tho, sure this is a one off. Also examples of decent chairs would be good. This isn't the Herman Miller you review in your other video.
@@OlivierGirard too bad, it looks comfy. I settled for a steelcase gesture without the headrest. It’s actually pretty hard to find heavy use chairs that look good in a home office / wfh setting. So many look either too officy or mechanical. Great videos btw
It depends a lot on your activity, as I explain here: ruclips.net/video/Fa4SFs85too/видео.html. Moreover, anything you would without any interruption ever will always be bad... so it depends what we call long periods
@@OlivierGirard Thank you gor the response I shall watch it. I also have an idea for a video, how to actually get those high end chairs for example kinnarps chairs are hard to get, you cant just buy them from the store, and this is the case with many high end office chairs
Best video, I was not understanding how to use headrest properly but now I do.
Love from India 😄
Thank you :) !!

I'm 6'2 and have the gesture with the headrest. I actually love the headrest even while engaging in upright work. Maybe just a personal preference.

My chair's headrest is not adjustable and I've had so much pain in my upper back lately 😢😢 I suspect it forces me to slouch

Hi, I have pain and disc degeneration in the neck and live in Hawaii. What chairs with adjustable headrests can you recommend for U.S. Delivery?
yes

perfectionism creates neck pain... be careful 😂 !!!

Thank you so much for the video, may I know the name of your office chair? Thank you
You’re welcome! It’s the Kinnarps Plus 8 😄
@@OlivierGirard I bought the RH New Logic and waiting for it’s arrival, I think they’re similar Scandinavian technology 😊

nobody is working 100% of the time, so it is basically essential if you work a desk job

thanks for the feedback... I added a card with a link to the review of this chair: ruclips.net/video/e2wwl6ZohLg/видео.html :)
I've been so worried why my headphones were not working properly. And it's your video, the sound is only in one side. Thanks anyway.
Hey Jorge! You're right, I recently identified a wrong setting in VSDC. The newer videos should be better: can you check?
What chair do you use? Can i get it in Australia
It’s a Kinnarps Plus 8… but I doubt I distributed in Australia, honestly. They barely deliver in US so….

Sir very nice video. Can this work for wemen height and fit at neck level?
Yes, sure... especially as you can get different backrest heights on some chair models (e.g., Kinnarps)
Is reclining like that for long periods of time bad for your back?

Exactly you nailed it👍
your sound is only on the left speaker
yep, I know... it took me ages to find out how to shoot a proper video (sound + image). Now is much better...
what is the chair in this video?
Kinnarps
