In Depth Unboxing and Comparison: Apple iPad Air vs Microsoft Surface Pro 3

We picked up an Apple iPad Air and a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 for the office and I take you through opening up both for the first time, likes and dislikes of both, and overall functionality and features straight out of the box.
While both tablets definately have their pros and cons, I think the Surface Pro 3 is the winner for me here. I like the iPads size, ease of use, and clean interface, but you can just do more with the Surface, especially after some tweaking. Please also note, when I shot this video 8.0.2 was the current version of iOS and iPad Air 2 was just getting ready to hit the market, so just a tad out of date there...
I did spend quite some time with the Surface Pro 3, actually replacing my desktop that I typically use with it on a dock and extra monitor and let me say it was a bit rough going from a 4 monitor workspace to 2 with a basically worthless to me metro desktop. While the Surface is a great on the go productivity device, like M$ says, it can replace your laptop, but definately not your desktop.
I didn't spend as much time with the iPad as I just can't get in to using it for productivity on a daily basis. I always end up finding myself playing Angry Birds instead of getting work done! That and I can't really stand using nothing but Citrix to get what I need done.
