maxon and the launch of the Electric Revolution Skills Hub

The Electric Revolution Skills Hub, launched in March 2023, is an integrated digital platform providing inclusive access to training, development, and jobs across the UK.
Florbela Costa, Engineering Manager at Parvalux (a maxon company), opened the conference with a talk on designing DC motors for Mars missions and the future. Other experts discussed emerging technologies in power electronics, machines and drives (PEMD) and how the UK can mitigate the skills gap currently stifling future opportunities. 
Influential speakers included Will Mason (Managing Director of maxon), Paul Jarvie (Centre Lead for Driving the Electric Revolution) and Charlie Martin, British racing driver and transgender rights activist.
