I found my holy grail coffee fragrance 4 years ago and I recently added another coffee fragrance which is different but quite brilliant. My holy grail coffee (and vetiver) is Velvet Rouge. My recent addition is Golden Green which is a green coffee scent. Also, a great and very addictive scent. Velvet Rouge is very authentic coffee for the first two hours and then finishes with an amber/vetiver combo.
@@TheScentinel it’s nice stuff. Nothing monumental or anything, but I like it for warmer weather/gym. The finger lime note is unique enough to keep it interesting for me
Nice but doesn't excite I've used in other areas of my life to no detriment, don't know why I haven't applied it to perfume before! But I am now, even old wears that are highly regarded classics today I've let go as they no longer excite me. There's plenty out there that can replace those however I'm only going for those that fit, I'm so over reformulated, discontinued or rarities. Your words here ring true
Very valid point, pep, with the constant sampling. Why not just wear the stuff that we "know" will give us a smile every time. (Full bottles). We cant take the juice with us when we go.
I have had enough of summer as well ~ that damn humidity🥵 In fact, it’s the one season I am more likely to have some fragrance free days, especially if it’s really hot and humid. I agree with the over consumption, these days it tends to filter through so much of our lives. It wasn’t too far back when watching a tv series meant having to wait week to week for the next instalment, now I can binge watch it in a day, or a few days if I was so inclined. I often have to check myself with sample ordering, just pace myself. Last night I picked out some samples to try from Filigree & Shadow, but will wait a few months before ordering, I’m still sorting through and revisiting my older samples to finish off or move on. Always appreciate any content you throw our way and your podcast is great👏 take care💛
Mate, we are burning up here in the west, 40 plus every day, ahh. Sound and fog has my attention , Coffee note of course. Totally agree with what you are trying to do. We just have too much of everything these days, etc, etc !
No, it's very different. Licorice, lavender and immortelle in Eau Noire make it so different. Sound and Fog is about how the coffee plays with the vetiver.
@@TheScentinel Thanks for the reply. Someone is offering me a 200ml bottle of Chanel Boy for a very good price (180eur), but I'm hesitance due to several reviews claiming that Boy has weak longevity. On average, how many hours can you still smell it when sprayed on clothes? [Sorry for 2 questions].
Great rotation! Geo F Trumper sandalwood is one of the only times I felt “duped” buying a fragrance. I think it was wafts from the lofts, they described it as “a better version of Egoiste”. I blind bought it and thought it smelled like a cheap synthetic clone of Egoiste, completely befuddled as to how someone could think it was “a better version”. Also, I need to get my nose on Epic woman! Cheers!
Gucci guilty absolute is sensational, i love it
Great minds...

Areej did a beautiful coffee/vetiver/oud - Oud Luwak. Long since discontinued.

Coffee and vetiver - Awake by Akro, is also very pretty. Thank you for the video, I find your voice very meditative:)
Thank you

I'm slowly leaning this way. Not conducive to creating new content here though
No it definitely is not but happy is happy sir!!
I couldn’t disagree more. I find this to be very informative. The content is important and discovering is part of why we enjoy this hobby.
I say try French Flower from Matiere Premiere. Great tuberose fragrance

Aw thank you, Gail. It's always great hearing from you. X
The part which you explained why you're wearing one perfume a week and comparing it to music ... goosebumps ... facts facts facts ... 👏🏻👏🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻
Thank you
Great stuff Pep. I’ve also thought about buy more GGA but I’ve talked myself out of it. I have plenty 🍻
Yeah, it's taken me 6 years to use half a bottle, so...
Cherie mentioned Epic Woman this week, as well, and you both have convinced me to get a sniff on this one. 😍
At the very least you owe yourself a sniff.

Too much to consume, so little time
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love this rotation. Do you find the coffee/licorice combo in Sound & Fog comparable to Eau Noire?
No, it's very different. Licorice, lavender and immortelle in Eau Noire make it so different. Sound and Fog is about how the coffee plays with the vetiver.
Thanks for the video. How does Equipage Geranium compare to Chanel Boy, and which of the two do you prefer?
Very different scents, i prefer the Hermes if i had to pick one.
EQ is spicier and woodier, Boy is lavender, slightly powdery and musky

Please do, before Amouage decide to discontinue.🤪
Same here. Fortunately it was relatively cheap.
