Jurassic World Evolution 2 Ambience - Survivors Of The Great Dying (1 Hour)

This map is a semi-depiction of Earth during the Early Triassic Period, where our world is only just beginning to recover from the greatest mass extinction event life has ever known. The eruptions of the Siberian Traps around 250 million years ago drastically raised global temperatures, bringing a deadly end to the Permian Period and killing off over 90 percent of all life on Earth. In addition, all of the Earth's continents have now drifted together to form one giant landmass, Pangaea.
Among the survivors was Lystrosaurus, one of the most successful animals to ever live. These diminutive pig-sized Therapsids thrived in the Early Triassic, but competition would soon arise from a newly evolved species of reptile, one that could run on two legs. The first Dinosaurs were little bigger than Iguanas, but they would soon leave behind their small beginnings, taking over the Earth for hundreds of millions of years.
This is a shorter, 1-hour video featuring Lystrosaurus and fellow Therapsid survivor Basilodon, as well as an early ancestor of Crocodiles called Nundasuchus.
