I am curious if enemy ai can spawn as a hero on conquest mode now ? It was a big issue for me .

Most of the issues start with greedy higher ups. It’s why I refused to buy this game no matter how much nostalgia I have for it and I was right. You can always tell when a game looks sketchy now,you just have to pay real close attention to it

I haven’t played in about 2 months and immediately noticed no music in hero assault. Didn’t have this issue before.
Me: Hey, Aspyr, what about the game music?
Aspyr: Oh, yeah, the game music will have to be removed in our update.
Me: That was never a condition to your Patch Notes, nor was it for you to launch a broken game without fixing it first!
Aspyr: We're altering the deal. Pray we don't alter it any further.

After with this update, I’m going to get back into it now. I’ve been meaning to replay the story again. Just haven’t yet, but now, I will!
There weren't really any issues with offline. the issues come when playing online.
@@jinuouslopez9069, I know that. But, there WERE sound issues in the campaign, Galactic Conquest, AND instant action.
@chadgaming8288 from what I recall it was sound issues and menu issues that were fixed first patch.

@chadgaming8288 moral of the story you're good to go in regards to offline. I will say played a couple days ago online it ran greatly no bugs or jank. Servers at this point and playercount are just dead partly due to the "I'll buy/play again after it gets fixed" mentality
Ive been waiting for a patch 3 for a while. The one thing ive been wanted fixed is FINALLY fixed... award weapons are back baby!!!

And another thing to add. They also added the ability to toggle between your award weapon, and your regular weapon. They are allowing us to choose our regular weapons over our upgraded ones if we want to. That is actually sweet.

The only thing is remaing is the option to choose "All Maps" on the Instant Action, since is very tedious to choose them one by one.

Just got the platinum on it today. Love this game. Well the original, but this classic collection did what i needed so i am having s good time
I'm not an online player and I didn't mind the game at launch or Update 1, but Update 2 really soured it. This new patch has made me excited since all the major fixes have been implemented now plus it's added in AI heroes in the single player mode, which is something I never had back in the PS2 days.
Does anyone know if Switch performance has been improved with this patch?
At launch, the game ran perfectly well at 60fps with minor slowdown when things got chaotic on switch. However, for some reason, update 2 just made the Switch version unplayable at a foundational level because simply landing shots in this shooter game causes the game to stutter. The medal system being fixed is fine and all, but at this point all I'm wondering is if the game can even be played on Switch because the game has been unplayable for the past 2 months.
The file size has gotten smaller? Oh dude that alone is tempting me to buy it
If u want it on pc u can use a tool called "lvl-repack" that will compress it even more, arround 13.5gb, it works online too

As someone who’s studying game development. I think I know what happened with this game.
The main flaw might have been the online multiplayer. Because it is not using the net-code from the Xbox or PC version, and when you change the net-code drastically, you cannot drag and drop the game into the environment and call it a day. You need to change almost everything in the game. (Multiverses ended up with the same issue as well)And adding on the redone textures, archiving DLC in a weird way, and Disney Greed, you get a ridiculous and challenging process for a team of under 120 people.
But other hand, I had a blast with this collection . This was my first time playing these games, and I can totally understand why you all hold them in such high regard. And the multiplayer is so much fun. I played galactic conquest with my brother yesterday and had a blast.

Did they fix Droideka's not being able to roll if you changed your controls in BF2?
Still having an issue on PlayStation where I can’t hear the menu music after hitting the start button, it plays at first until you do but afterwards it’s gone. Been having that issue since a couple updates ago.
Edit: I’m referring to Battlefront II I don’t think the first one is having that issue.
Did they fix the problem where if you host a private match you'd be locked to 30 fps?
The Switch version size went from being somewhere in the 30s to being 23.1 gb.
Also, YES I can finally play classic battlefront on the go without risking a jump scare with hearing loss to go with it.
Interestingly someone just told me in another comment it's now 30, interesting!
@@A7ZATRUI could check again. I was reinstalling it on my switch, but the switch version was already in the 30s before while every other version was in the 50s or 60s range of gb.
Update: yep, still says 23.1 gb.

I think there a few things you didn't mention that are worth mentioning:
•They fixed an issue (at least on the switch version) where the enemy hero wouldn't spawn, even if the enemy chose the leader bonus on galactic conquest, on regular non hero assault battles, the enemy hero wouldn't spawn, but now they do.
•The addition of 'hero assault settings' is really cool, considering its brand new and not in the original, and it stops the player from having to adjust the assault settings regarding whether they want to play a space battle or a hero assault battle (because they used to share settings)
There are other things that are yet to be fixed, probably a few things here and there, nothing major, but the most glaring problem is that on switch, if you remap the crouch button, it permanently breaks the droideka so that it's unable to roll, even if you map the buttons back to default.
All in all, I own the switch version of the classic collection and have over a hundred hours already, I play it nearly every day, so it's definitely worth playing, and whilst these issues are annoying, they've fixed almost everything, so maybe we don't have to be so down about it anymore. Also in the patch notes, they don't specifically mention "update 4" but they do request people to keep submitting bug reports, which says to me that they're not finished with updating this game. I hope everyone keeps playing!
The latest patch has brought a bug in with it ! there is no music playing during the gameplay on Battlefront 2 they screwed up again !! 🤬🤬🤬
It makes me happy that the two major issues I was pushing for updates within the Support is finally getting addressed now. I wanted AI enemy heroes to spawn since I wanted the game to be a bit more challenging given the fact multiplayer was empty since launch. And I worked my @$$ off for the legendary titles.
Hopefully this brings everyone back.
I can't wait to play it with these new updates I guess it's taking so long cause of them finding all these bugs but I'm happy and can't wait to see more bugs

I play on Swicth and sometimes when I was in an area there’s like an invisible wall (for BF2) it’s really annoying I have to go around it and the first 2 patches didn’t fix it I hope this one does. And I hope they add crossplay.
Well I pre-ordered the game and since the beginning all I did was play locally with my brother. We don't see each other a lot so it was fun. Never tried to play with my online friends because it was so messed up and I was on switch where we were mostly ok compared to other versions. Been picking it up lately just to see if it's been fixed but only in single player which has been a good experience. Other than that though the best way to play is locally
Now its so beautiful idc about the bugs the fact that neutral factions can spawn again plus that the enmy ai can now play as heroes including your own team ai too sh is just perfection screw online I can play this for years to come in the ISS for the rest of my life!
im sure also the reason for low counts on steam have to be because the originals still exist on there and mods pretty much do a lot of what the classic collection does plus more. Im sure the disastrous launch didnt help either though

I platinum this game on June 1st. Honestly if this game wasn’t a big part of my childhood, I probably would have rank this game as the worst platinum I ever went for, but I’m glad I did platinum it overall. I doubt this will happen but I do hope they add new content to the BF2 version of the game

@@JasonWolfGames only achievement that was bug for me was the one you get for getting all the rest of them but they fixed that in previous patch

I notice playing instant action on bf2 classic if you say no to play as a hero. It will spawn an a.i hero on your team. Wich I find it cool.

I honestly thought the update wouldn't come until like June of 24 or something, but I'm GLAD they finally fixed the Reward bug. I was mad when the previous update broke the whole thing that I had to earn it again.

I'd say they need to fix manovering the map cause I'm struggling to move around it to select where I wanna respawn

I just saw that the bug that associated with the glitched Award weapons and Bonuses was patched out. To quote a soundboard voice from Kilplix's past videos on TTT.

I've been playing this great collection since release, have almost 100 hours in it now, and it's been like playing on playstion back in 2005 the whole time, wich is the point of this collection, not the online add on that isn't needed one bit in this colloction
Funny thing is I preordered and haven't played since the week it launched.
Did they fix the menu sounds? I seriously don’t understand why they would change the iconic beep for no reason.
I finally jumped back into the game after the patch and noticed the enemy AI is a lot tougher. Is that just me or did they raise the difficulty on normal?? I double checked too if it was still on normal. Not complaining I love the challenge but I am just curious.

@@csharp3884 yeah but they fixed some wallbreaches that were in the original and yet we can't get a fix to a big issue
hopefully that means the aiming wont be so finicky on console. the crossair would move too slow then just start spazzing out and going too fast. super inconsistent it makes sniping a nightmare when it was perfectly tight in the original version.
No in game music playing after this update.
Hopefully this serves as a warning to other gaming companies as to what happens if they decide to launch a broken game then fix it later.
Isn't launching games with bugs and finishing them later the status quo nowadays? Also, I'm fine with this as long as the games get updated eventually. To me, a game's release isn't really a release anymore, and I usually wait at least a year before purchasing it due to potential updates or dlcs.
@@sevensvn5391 Doesn't make it acceptable. There's a saying "A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever" and this collection is more of the former. Even worse when these two games are already finished products but yet came out in a far worse state. If you're going to release a product, do it right the first time.

Battlefront 1 i cant even join a game. Its saying " the host you have selected is useing a downloadable content map you" so thats broken. Battlefront 2 when you go onto the online search for sessions sometimes the list is just completely blank. Quick match says no sessions matching criteria when all is set to any. So annoying

I don't know for sure if this true, but I think Aspyr may have gotten an emergency patch going in regards for the music thing. I just got done playing the newest Switch version and when I redownloaded BFCC for Switch to try the new update, it says it's on version 1.0.4. And the music was fully functional in the 3 rounds I played. This music issue seems to be patched on Switch so there might be an update available now or real soon for PS5.

@@zacharyobrien7328No, they didn't in patch 2 they added the cutscenes BUT they were the same cutscenes that were playing at the start of missions which was really weird

It'll be sad if no one plays online, but this game is still amazing for offline play. I just started playing today, and I'm perfectly happy with playing offline with bots.
On my PS2 back in the day that's all I ever did , never had wifi or Internet when on PS2 and I always had a super fun time

I unfortunately seem to have gotten a bug, whether it's exclusively for PS5, (Which is the version I'm playing this on.) or any other version, I end up suffering this.
When I try to play as Han Solo, the game crashes. And it happened every time I spawn as Solo.
Edit: I figured out why it crashes when I play as Solo. Apparently, it is because the game thinks that Han Solo has the Award Pistol when he spawns, due to the Legendary award. So when he spawns, the game gets confused into crashing. Fortunately, I found a way to avoid this. Just toggle off the award pistol before playing as Han, and bam. You're playing as him, while avoiding the game crashing.

I'd like to add the online activity heavily depends on which console you're on or if youre on PC and which region you reside in. On PS5 online is dead in my region. I'm in FL

Not even three seconds in a multiplayer match (although i was by myself) I lost all audio. I just left the match two minutes before I post this at 8:35 am
I stopped playing. I never bought it for the multiplayer aspect but there were so many glitches in single player that i just gave up. The first patch didn't fix hardly any of it, game kept crashing, too frustrating to deal with. Gave up before the second patch, haven't been back there since.

Crazy that they had to patch the rereleased version of BF1/2 to make them as stable as the original versions. Classic Collection is probably the final deathnail for the Battlefront series if this was going to be the gague for interest in a BF3.
They deadass fixed it last month idk what y’all are on about. Xbox version has been running awesome the past 2 months zero issues

I still rather just play the older versions, They still take up less space and still look great on my series X. They took too long to add simple bug fixes almost like compressing the files or fixing the award weapons
