@@silentbutdeadly9692 Definitely. Mark Snow's scores are perfection. I particularly love the music for Grotesque - it adds such atmosphere. My all time favourite is from the second ever episode, Deep Throat. 👍👽

One of the best episodes by far. Lol. So full of little hints, some more obvious than others. Those planned communities, people living together under a set of rules. are like a sociological experiment, aren't they ? In that context, the name of our undercover couple is not that surprising, is it? The Petries.... anybody reminded of the petri dish ? Those little glass jars they use in controlled EXPERIMENTS in a lab environment, often involving bacteria. Looking for malign growth or something, hm ? Malign growth... could that be a fair description of our little golem out there, stalking the neighborhood at night? Fed and brought to life by those bad emotions Mr. Gogolak, the community leader, had? Hints and even more hints ;)
@@JaneLame It's fine. I guess people here don't care about rules any more than I do. I pay my dues and only hear from them when they send emails to tell me when trick-or-treating is, or when there's a community garage sale day coming up.
@@steelyspielbergo You're lucky. I only hear REALLY bad things about neighborhoods like "Arcadia Falls." Some are just like mini prisons. One neighborhood despises pickup trucks so much that they TOW any trucks they see and try to extort the fees from the owner. Doesn't matter to them if the truck is on the driveway or in the garage. ALL of the affordable houses are in places as bad as "Arcadia." I am NOT paying $3,000 a year for some nazis to yell at me about the color of my damn shutters or that they hate seeing specific vehicles visible in public. I remember this scene like I just watched it last night. This is such a great episode if you've ever lived under an association. To those of you who are thinking about living in a gated community, my best advice to you is... *don't.* BTW, that _association monster,_ it's real.
Unfortunately, years later, HOAs are turning into the exact kind you see here. They get enraged if your mailbox is the "wrong" color. They send you threatening letters if your fence "looks a bit crooked." It never ends. I refuse to buy a home in an HOA. The X-Files "Arcadia" Season 6; Episode 15....hmm which gives me an idea of mowing my lawn in either a zigzag or circular pattern or analog - digital waveform? I purposely didn't buy my house on a HOA (Home Owners Association). Seen to many episodes of Hall of Shame. Thinking of getting a🦩 for my front yard just to let any potential HOA's that want to move into my neighborhood know there unwanted.
They had a chance to "be a loving couple" in this episode. Scully seemed mad all the time! You think there would have been more tenderness if nothing else. God forbid anything too frisky! Just a thought.
I mean, she's put up with his loony schemes for seven years. Little hard to be tender when you've watched this goober nearly get himself killed every weekday.
I agree with you. her angry in this episode and her not taking it seriously when he says "I love you" in a triangle episode has nothing to do with the deeply romantic hallway scene in Fight for the Future (15 episodes ago)... the only explanation is the writers doing it to prolong the audience at the time.
You'd be surprised how good knockoffs have gotten in the last 5 years. Even people who have watch repair channels say it's harder and harder to detect fakes. It could easily be a $100 fake Mulder bought off DinoDirect!
