Bought it and love it. I also have a Paperwhite, Oasis and Kobo Libra H2O to compare it to. As you state 99% of the time you spend with a reader is simply reading and that's what I really like about it. It's just damn comfortable to hold in your hand if you are like me and read for a hour or more at a tine. For me, It is the best of the bunch for comfort and that's the most important factor for me. Also the click on mine is barely perceptible.
This is my 4th Nook. I have no issue on the screen size, have been using 6" e-readers for years now although if B&N does come out with an updated GlowLight Plus I'll likely get one. I don't need an e-reader to access the internet, read magazines etc. A full feature tablet is better equipped for those tasks. I don't need an e-reader to be water-proof...I never did read in the rain or the pool. What I do want in my e-reader is an easy to view, low eye strain device that is intuitive enough that once I'm reading, I don't even pay attention to the device itself - and to me, that is where the GlowLight 4 shines. Excellent lighting, enough font and margin choices to read comfortably, enough power to function smoothly and quickly turn pages (fast enough that it does not intrude on my reading experience). The one surprise to me are the side mounted page buttons. Within hours of owning the GW4, to me, this is a no-brainer for all future e-readers. As far as the "clickiness"? Hmm, not any louder than on my GW3, but that may bother some and not others. Overall, I am really happy with the GW4.
Is it normal mine the screen goes on and off blinks I updated it I even took it to the store they couldn’t give me much information but the blinking does not stop advice pls 😊
Is there a way to delete the "hours, minutes and secs left in chapter", (a ridiculous feature at the bottom) so as to not have to press it 4 times to see the page number?
Does this have a web browser? Does this support custom fonts? Has anything about the firmware changed since the Glowlight 3? As I recall, the firmware on the Glowlight 3 wasn't significantly different from what it was on the Simple Touch.
Hmm, sounds like the main reason you dislike it is the very reason it caught my attention in the store. I already have larger tablets I read from yet really want a dedicated e-reader I'd actually have on me when on the go.

Mate you forgot to talk about the screen? Is it crispy? Is it sharper than the Kindle? It's a bevelled screen not a flush, how is the glare? You didn't talk about weight? Is it lighter than the Kindle range? Ergonomics, is it easier to hold and use in 1 hand compared to the Paper white 5 for example? What material is on the back? Is it better to grip than the Kindle range? Can you compare the warm light to the warm light on the Paper White 5 and Oasis? Dude you know what? Why don't you just do a comparison video of this vs the Paper White 5?
I have the Kobo Libra, the New Kindle paperwhite and Nook Glowlight 3.....love my kobo the best.....Nook and Kindle 2nd....wish Kindle had buttons. I agree with you....wish the screen on the new Nook was 7 inch....I'd buy one then. I had a Kindle basic and hated it. I like the new paperwhite, just wish it had buttons. Kobo Libra needs a better battery but everything else is way the best.

They already have a nook glow light plus with 7.8” screen, they are making and updating nooks of both sizes
