I highly recommend not using extensions it takes away from the beauty of this natural style here are some really good tips if you want your hair to appear a lot thicker 1. Use Shea butter instead of gel 2. Do this style on blown out hair(when your hair is wet it get the smallest it will ever be natural which isn’t great for density blown out hair provides a much thicker appearance) 3. Do not wet it in the shower cover it with a bonnet( your twist will fluffy up naturally allowing for a thicker look) 4. THE MOST IMPORTANT : do your twist very small. The more twist the better. While you may want to rush the difference a tiny twist gives vs a medium size is a whole extra spoon of density. ( I have done both trust me you want them to be tiny) it will make your hair look like you used extensions. Spend the time it’s worth it!!!
Lots of love! Do you use a rat tail comb and just not show it? If not you might want to invest in a rat tail comb, it’ll make parting a lot easier than using your fingers! Hope this is helpful! I also prefer combs with a metal rat tail, I just think they get the parts cleaner.
