So charming in it's simplicity. Beautiful and elegant creativity that touches the deepest places of the soul. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents which has inspired me to follow suit ❤
I only recently found your vlog and proceeded to watch every video available. Your garden is amazing, the gardens you visit are amazing, your content is simply lovely; truly enchanting! On a cold winter evening, I could not have asked for a nicer reprieve. Thank you for sharing your beautiful world. 🙏
I just found this channel yesterday and I am obsessed, love everything about this the beautiful gardens, the cooking, the beautiful teas n luncheons and last but most definitely something I love Mac kenzie Childs.❤
A bit under the weather today, I came across your lovely Christmas video, it was just what I needed . Peaceful, beautiful. Thank you I think I’ll watch it again 🕊
I watched your other video as well. The one about the Christmas tea. Very artistic. I live in the Cotswolds in England in a 17th century cottage. We get snow but nowhere near like Buffalo, New York. Where they took the snow out in boxcars several years ago. So my garden is the main thing here. The herbaceous border is 150 feet long and 14 feet wide, packed with perennials, annuals, and bulbs. So even at 75 years of age, it keeps me busy all summer long. The only help I have is one gardener and a boy (a barrow boy) who come twice a week to do weeding, staking and deadheading. I do the rest. It is just me and my doggie. After 75 years of living, I have discovered that dogs are better then people.
Hello, I really enjoyed your comment. Thank you so much. I have to say that the Cotswolds is my very favorite place to travel to. I have actually only been one time. I just walked around in delight the whole time I was there. We found the most wonderful restaurant call "The Mount" in Stanton. Your border sounds amazing! Happy Holidays! 🇺🇸♥️🇬🇧
@@inthegardenwithgwen Yes, there is no replacement for having a doggie, that is for sure. You cannot replace dogs with people. The dog will give you unconditional love, people will not. I love my gardens very much but I love my doggie much more than the garden. If she digs up the garden, that's ok, no scolding from her dog daddy. At 75 years of age I have "had it" with relationships, especially with women. I had to learn the hard way. My doggie is a rescue from a shelter and she jumped all over me from the very first moment of meeting. She gets brushed and combed every day, walked twice a day on country paths, cuddled and played with (I get down on the floor and play with her), sleeps on my bed, gets a vet check-up every other week, has pet insurance, If I travel anyplace, which is very little, we go by train and she travels as a service dog and is allowed to be in my lap even in the First Class dining car. Once a dining car steward told me dogs are not allowed in the dining car and I pulled out her Service Dog paperwork and showed it to him and I asked him if he likes his job because one more word out of his mouth about my doggie I will proceed to make sure he gets sacked. At 75, I expect to be crossing to the Other Side before too long where I will be with many other dogs that I have known, and to quote the writer James Thurber, "If there is such a thing as immortality, I expect to meet in heaven many dogs that I have known and very few persons"
@@inthegardenwithgwen Thank you. I think Buffalo, NY would be a bit difficult for me at 75. Yes, here there are lots of wonderful restaurants and 17th and 18th century cottages, The Mount is a 17th century village inn. As charming as the Cotswolds are, the cottage I live in was more than likely occupied originally by people who were dirt poor. The Helen Allingham paintings of cottage life in the mid-nineteenth century was a fairy tale, in place of the hollyhocks and foxgloves I now grow they more than likely planted cabbages and potatoes to keep from starving to death.
First time seeing you. I will subscribe. The is just what I needed today. A calming, relaxing video with two adorable kittens. They obviously love it there with a lot of things to check out. I love your vignettes. You are really good at putting them together. I would love to be able to go outside & pick all the things you have in your yard. You also have an adorable dog who doesn't seem to mind the snow. Glad to have found you & look forward to more of your videos.
I found you and have been binge watching. You are living my dream. Everything you do and touch is so thoughtful and intentional. Watching you being able to forage on your own property for all the beautiful greens and berries and the nest , in the snow is incredible. Love your hat and gloves . The candle making, the baking, the cloche floral arrangement are what a dream day looks like for me. Your snow covered lanterns and greens and ribbons on the shed are out of a fairy tale . The way you and your daughter look at each other each time you meet, just melts my heart!!!! And finally the sweet Christmas tea and tablescape are the perfect ending! Oh wait... just have to say the way your film. the angles and where you place the camera are like no one else I have ever seen.
Wow you literally just made my day. I have been feeling so discouraged with my channel and not knowing if I am going in the right direction . It is so nice to get a lovely comment like this. It really helps me so much. Thank you! 🌱🌺❤️🥰❤️🌺🌱

Hello! The candle mold is antique and I found it on ebay. It was really fun to make the candles though I had a hard time figuring out how to thread the wick!
I just found your channel and I can't stop watching! You are a wonderful storyteller as you weave these beautiful moments together through excellent filming and editing. Each one of your videos evokes such appreciation of what slowing down and savoring our lives could be if most people would realize that it's not go, go, go all the time! Towards the end where you are cracking the walnuts, I had a flashback to childhood holidays at our house. Our mom always had bowls of nuts and nutcrackers out- even my grandparents did. Such beautiful memories of less complicated days. Thank you!!!
