Just got mine last week. The suspension on this thing is unbelievable. There are areas of the dirt roads that everyone simply goes around due to the depth of the ruts and grooves. You can drive on those areas in this Sidekick without as much as spilling a cup of coffee. Unbelievable. Very impressed.
Just picked mine up, adding accessories now like the front rack and extra LED lights. Super RTV. Also got a great trade in deal on a JD Gator that made it all work
How is the engine heat shielding from the seats and cab area? How would you rate the cab noise level? Can you carry on a conversation? What is top Speed? Thanks
@@danielspencer5023 Hey Daniel, there is absolutely no issues with heat into the cab area. We road in 91 degree temps this weekend so if there had been any issue we would have felt it. I do not have the fully enclosed cab, just the top and windshield, however, my wife and I talked the entire time riding at normal speech levels and again, no issues what so ever. Top speed is rated at about 40 MPH, though quite honestly, we never have gone that fast. On the trails the highest speed I saw was 10 MPH, on the farm about the same or slower. It can use about 2 more inches of ground clearance though. The skid plates took a bit of a beating but no issues and that includes going into or out of dry creek beds here on the farm. This thing is a top quality UTV/RTV.
I have a 2019 Kubota Side Kick. It is a nice machine. The suspension is great for my farm, which is hilly and rocky. There is plenty of power without guzzling too much fuel. The only thing I would change is the throttle control since it can be touchy. The CVT transmission can be jerky if you are not careful with the accelerator. I will buy another SideKick when it is time to replace this one.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the 2019 SideKick! We're glad it handles your farm's terrain well. We appreciate your feedback on the throttle control and CVT transmission. Looking forward to helping you with your next SideKick.
I have two important questions that I consider with every possible UTV. Noise Level & Engine Heat Shielding. Can you carry on a conversation with the passenger? And is there enough heat shielding to prevent a hot seat and cab area?

I used to buy new Kubota's but your new pricing insults my intelligence. Good thing they are at least reliable because I'll be keeping the ones I already have.
My sidekick is junk. Bad Gas and water contamination of the crankcase oil. Been in the shop a month now with a warranty claim and dealer can not get help from the kubota rep to find the problem and a solution. Seems the 850 engines have a problem that can only be solved by throwing parts at them and Kubota is ignoring that. Don't waste your money on the sidekick look for a side by side from a reputable company that specializes in them. My buddybought a Ranger when I bought the sidekick and he has had zero problems and at 25 hours mine has been ib the shop a month with Kubota not caring..

@@KubotaCanada I have reached out to Kubota and it has been in the shop over 6 weeks now and Kubota is not responding to the dealer. First they said it's normal for this engine if not run hard enough. Dealer changed the oil and then took it to his farm and ran it hard. Oil level still went up with gas and water dilution. I am hitting every forum and video I can find to warn others that Kubota really doesn't care and read forums you will find others are having constant plug fouling. This machine is a heartbreaker.
Have a little bit of History with the Kubota Corporation USA and their management and products, and I own the Sidekick and find it to exceed all my expectations on the farm and using it on the UTV trails in Intermediate riding levels. I do wish it had about 2 inches more clearance for rocks. I see they responded to you below, work with them and they will get is solved.
I don't recommend a Kubota Sidekick, I have owned one for 3 years now, bought it new. Check the online manual error codes...almost every one says "take it to a dealer". Like I have nothing better to do than pack this up, travel to a dealer and unload it, travel back to get it and then pay a ridiculous labor and parts bill. I have an reoccurring error 36 , speed sensor. Take it to dealer it says the manual and can find nothing on what action I can take. BTW it seems to run ok with the error.
