I believe he has spoke about that mistake. It may have been on a Rig Rundown. He's aware of it... but has just gone with it. Maybe I'm mistaken, though, y'all.
Austin, Eastwood Guitars has a few Tenor models, a little SG clone, a few Gretsch looking ones, an Airline map guitar, a little Mustang, and a “Tenorcaster”.
@@Horsefingerandthetaintwrights Heh, did you spend $3,000 on an A shape? What the hell would the F have cost?! I’m just an amateur hobbyist, so wouldn’t be spending that much. I would rock one of those black Dean 6 string banjo's. Nice looking! (I know it's not a rock or not segment, but that just looks cool.) Gibson should come out with a finish like that, in 6 strings.
How do the satin finishes on the Gibsons hold up? Do they get shiny where you arm rubs the finish? Trying to figure out if the guitar will still look good after years of use.
It's nice to see that adjustable bridge on the Charley Starr Signature Les Paul Jr. I have an Epiphone LP Jr I did that with already! I like how that style of bridge is compact and gets out of the way. Also, the two pole connection to the body seems to resonate nicely. I have a theory on that. Pretty much any bridge with a tray isn't going to transfer the vibrations to the body as efficiently. With the two poles, all the tension is directed to the body in a much more controlled manner. Would be nice to see even more options with this kind of bridge. Even though people are doing it themselves, already.
You're dreaming. The neck being long and narrow; it vibrates when a string is played. A gentle strum has little impact. Holding an object reduces and alters the vibrations.

The Gibson Modern Studio is just way too overpriced. To put it into perspective, in the UK it’s £1,999 for an Alpine White and you only get a soft case! I bought my 2013 Alpine White Studio ‘Gold’ (Gold hardware, gold truss rod cover) new 10 years ago which is gloss on the front, Satin on the back and neck which makes it really nice to play and it came with a hard case as standard and cost me less than half that price and is arguably higher spec.

Epiphone oreceded Gibson, largely. It only makes sense that instruments like those with the Epi brand on them should again be on the market.
Honestly I think if a guitarist wants a banjo tone they should just make the jump to an actual banjo. Give it a month of regular practice and you'll be strumming chords just as naturally as you'd do on an acoustic guitar, there are more similarities than differences. But a "banjitar" does offer some low notes a regular banjo can't reach and those do sound really nice with that timbre!
I got an 8 string Mandobird after they were discontinued, and before prices went up. It was too good to pass up. I love it. Fun to play I am not any kind of mandolin expert, but I have fun. The price is not bad, but I have one, unless I wanted to add a 4 string one. Would be interesting to hear how the Firebird pickup works with it.

For me I am more interested in Epiphone bringing back the Epi line of affordable mid tier acoustic guitars. But instead just dreadnoughts they could put out both square and round neck dobros. But when I see that miniature firebird I don't want a Tenor or a Mando_ I see the perfect shape and size for a single pick-up lap steel
