I have Oyster Pearl and Pillow Talk from CT, and I’ll join the camp of saying I LOVE OP and PT is totally meh. Comes down to the colour. OP is more unique and can be blended into the crease and it looks like a different colour, so it has versatility. Pillow Talk is a colour you probably have in a million eyeshadows.
I have oyster pearl, chocolate bronze, amber gold and star gold. I love them all, they are some of my faves and I use them all the time. I just love their effect, the smooth shine without sparkle, and they are so perfect for a one and done. Sometimes I add on top or w other shadows or use two together, sometimes not. (I think amber gold is my fave)
Kelly!! Oyster pearl is soooo beautiful. I will 100% repurchase once I use up! A little bronzer in the crease with it tapped all over the lid- chefs kiss!
I can't recommend highly enough the CT Oyster Pearl. It's the perfect one and done shadow. I can totally live without the pillow talk shade but you have to try Oyster Pearl
My 2 cents on Oyster Pearl is that I hate it, but I’m a warm toned lover. Given your love for ND mini glam I think you would like the shade, but given how underwhelming you found Pillow Talk, I don’t think you’ll find OP matches the hype. It’s just a cream taupe. Is it pretty? Yes, it’s Charlotte Tilbury, and she formulates a good cream. But you don’t seem predisposed to think a $34 cream shadow is worth it (for good reason), so I don’t think you’ll be over the moon for it necessarily. I understand wanting to try it just to solve the mystery though!
Imo even oyster pearl isn't worth the price. I know a lot of people say they think it's great and the others are ok. But I just don't think any of them aren't worth $35. If I'm going to pay those kind of prices for one eyeshadow I'll go for either indie or hourglass scattered light.
I hated the CT PillowTalk eyes to mesmerize, but I LOVE the Rose Gold shade! I’m on my second one and I could not tell you the last time I used up and repurchased an eye shadow. Highly recommend!
I used to love Cloud. But now....I work at a school, with students between about sixteen and twenty years old, and this scent is everywhere! I can't walk down a hallway or go to a bathroom without smelling this. And with me being 45....yeah, it's a no now, unfortunately.
I have green eyes and LOVE the ‘PT’ eyeliner - another good one is ‘Walk of No Shame’ by CT but I’m also loving Nabla’s ‘Arrow’ - all beautiful berry, reddish eyeliners
Lol, love the comparison of different makeup shapes to noodles! I agree! And yes certain noodle shapes are better, lol! I like pot cream products more than sticks, too
I’m a perfume collector and i do think cloud is really nice. It’s great to layer with other perfumes too! REM did have to grow on me but now I love it, and I love her God is a Woman for summer too. :)
I was going to say God is a woman is good especially if you like sweet scents(I do lol). It's also available as a rollerball which is perfect because I have a lot of perfume.
I feel the same way about the CT cream shadow. I hated it. It creased no matter what I did and didn’t last on the my eyes. So many people love it, it’s refreshing to see you say this because I too feel it’s not worth the money. I returned it. Love what you do Kelly!
Omg your going to love R.E.M eventually. It's so relaxing to wear in the evenings because of that lavender. I find it so soothing to wear. I wish I loved Cloud as much as you. I find it too sweet for me.
Congrats on not having bought the duds yourself👏😂! Means you really have an eye for good products hehehe! Always trust your recommendations!edit: except the ct eyeshadow 😂
I have the T3 rollers too. I bought my set on Poshmark given the cost and have replaced larger rollers to 1 1/4” as that works best to hold the curl for my fine blonde hair. The larger rollers don’t do enough for my hair!Agree that 8 rollers is not enough to do the whole head of hair. On the bright side, i do think these rollers damage my hair the least of any roller I’ve used as they never get to full heat…pros and cons. Ive been using hot rollers for about 25 years and Conair has made some of the best but liked their older sets better and frankly the T3 sets just have a longer lifespan. It is the fastest way to get voluminous bouncy waves with minimal damage to the hair. Ive had both the old and new versions of T3…
I actually knew what the duds were gonna be. It's too bad with how much they were. But I definitely want to try both the lys concealer and the Pacifica mascara.
Cloud is my ultimate fave, but you might find REM grows on you (it did with me). Ariana Moonlight is very cute too, if you don't mind something sugary 💜
I fell in love with Oyster Pearl so much that I bought Pillow Talk...and I agree...a huge disappointment for me as well. Will be decluttering. But I do love and wear Oyster Pearl often.
If you are like me with very oily monolids, run to get that CT eyeliner in pillowtalk. It’s the only eyeliner pencil that doesn’t melt all over my eyes. Her other eyeliner pencils are total disasters for me though.
i love these type of videos from you! i only subscribed to you earlier this year, but i watched a lot of your older videos, both videos of this type and in general. the effort you put in is remarkable! sending you much love ❤️
Oyster Pearl is a much prettier shade and I like it but I still find it to be quite unremarkable. I was expecting more sheen/glitter. I would go into store and swatch it if I was you and compare it to the hourglass scattered lights shadow - they’re much more shiny and glittery looking which is more my preference xx
Oyster Pearl is definitely good - non irritating and wears well, and probably looks good on wide range of people. It can also be used by itself or with other colors. My only issue with it is it's awfully pricey. For someone with a smaller makeup collection I can see it being a total workhorse that you use constantly and get your money's worth, but for me (and probably a lot of makeup enthusiasts :) ) I have so many options that it went bad before I could use it all that much, so I can't really justify the price.
I haven’t tried the charlotte eyeshadow but bc I watched ur video about using makeup products for things other then what they are used for maybe try using it as a blush or lip stick! Maybe it’ll be cute? Idk if ur trying to use it maybe see if that works
I love this look Kelly!! I get what you mean about bronzer, I can be weirdly picky about makeup. But also I want you to review the LYS cream bronzer stick 😂❤️
Kelly there are contour eye masks on the market that don't press against your eyes! Slip has some silk ones but I've seen some on Amazon and usually at Winners/Marshalls (Canadian TJ Maxx).
If you know you struggle with it I would just stick with the type of bronzer that works for you and not worry about one that doesn’t give you satisfaction
I have the DM Yummy Skin foundation and I really like it! It’s lovely on the skin, wears well, I do find that it can feel (but not look) a bit heavy on the skin though. Also definitely not transfer proof. But it’s quite nice overall!
Great suggestions! I’m going to have to check out the Ariana Grande perfume- I’ve heard u speak about it before on your channel- it sounds nice/ thanks for showing!
Stila eyeliner in the color Spice is the same as CT. I have both and I still keep grabbing my Stila, this will be the second time I purchase this eyeliner. I have never finished an eyeliner before.
Jessica Braun has mentioned repurchasing oyster pearl, I think she said the shade name had changed, it use to be called Marie Antoinette. She loves the OP shade though
Hi Kelly I've just placed large-ish Elf and Essence orders based on your recommendations. Both brands had great sales here in the UK :-) I'm considering Catrice aswell, I have only tried a couple of things but you and Andrea Matillano mention them so often I have fomo 😣
Hallo, I seriously need to get the Bert's bees luminer! Thank you ❤️ I am loving lys so far, I have the foundation, concealer and blush. I just might need to try the bronzer. I have that mascara ready to use. I have a system 😂 I open 4 to 5 at time for my 4 month group. 2 /3 HG ones and 2 to try. In July I have this one and will be buying the new Tarte tubing. One instead of thrive (fingers crossed).
I have Oyster Pearl and Rose Gold and never use rose gold. It’s boring. And doesn’t seem to have much payoff. Oyster Pearl is fantastic though-easy to blend and looks like you did more than one shadow when used as a one and done. And it’s a great tone. I probably wouldn’t buy others since hearing such negativity but I love Oyster Pearl.
Oyster Pearl is Jessica Braun’s favorite! I bought it because of her. She feels similar to you about the pillow talk shade. She likes the green one they used to have too (I think it’s discontinued).
My favorite purchase this year is either the Persona bubble blush or my Beauty Pie lip oil/gloss. Worst is the darn Hindash monochromance palette! I hate it so much I want to sell it (surely at a loss) ☹️ I'm never spending more than $50 on a palette again it's just never worth it.
You gotta make sure your sleeping mask has eye.."cups"? rather than flush to your eyelids (even if it's satin or what-have-you) because that could potentially cause eyelash damage and it could also interfere with rapid eye movement and have an adverse effect on your quality of sleep!
I had to stop wearing my silk sleep mask because it was messing with my eyelashes. It was a bummer because I sleep so much better with my mask, but I just can’t afford to lose lashes.
I sleep with a sleeping mask too and I have noticed that my lashes are so straight and very hard to stay curled even with my lash curler. There is a mask out there that has recessed areas for your eyes that I’m sure would be better for your lashes.
Best and worst product I have purchased this year. Worst, well, not worst, but most disappointing would be the new Charlotte tilbury cream bronzer. The packaging and the product is beautiful! But the shades are just not right for me, and the formula almost seems cakey. I bought it in two shades, medium and tan. Medium almost too light but works, but the tone is just off. Tan is too dark, and shade, again, is off. Best product is the Nars cream bronzer! I bought in shade laguna 3 (equivalent to casino). I love it! I love the formula and I love the tone! The most beautiful bronze effect, I love it so much!
Get the Revlon color stay creme shadow in 710 caramel. Hands down my all time fav over everything high end and drugstore. This color knocked me off my socks because it looks so basic in the pot
This is so pretty, but something really strange happened when I used it, it looks warm in the pot but then it looks so cool toned on my lids! I think the shimmer is silvery but the base is warmer
@@mollya8230 it does come off a little neutral I think that’s why I love it. It reminds me of my all time favorite shadows from the Dominique cosmetics latte palette in creme brulee
Watch Amanda Z videos on best wet looking shadows , she got the best recs on potted pencils all those kind of wet pretty shadows u can do one a done with she has a few of those videos and CT oyster is in it but she has all kinds all brands even an Ulta brand one that looks beautiful I watched all of them because I was so into the cream potted liquid type shadows.
My daughter has a sleeping mask that's convex over each eye, kind of like goggles - it doesn't even touch the eyelids, so maybe that would be easier on the eyelashes? (Bonus: she's 11 and very petite, and she likes to joke around and wear it as a strapless bra. 😆 Yes, she is small enough that an eye mask strap goes around her chest. LOL)
I just checked and yup CNN comes up first with an article saying they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US- hopefully that just means restructuring for the company but I can’t say I’m surprised. Kelly will need to do another rise and fall video.
Like this comment when you notice the editing error😂
Quite a cute mistake though lol
Cute top though!
OMG! I am totally stealing “That’s a problem for Future Kelly”! So TRUE!!! 😁😄😆
Same about the pasta shapes tasting “different”! They do!!!
I love your vintage vibe today! My mom had a dress like that in the 60s!
An alternative to the CT eyeliner would be the canmake creamy liner. They have many unique colors and cost a fraction of the price!
I have Oyster Pearl and Pillow Talk from CT, and I’ll join the camp of saying I LOVE OP and PT is totally meh. Comes down to the colour. I rly like PT bc I'm a sucker for rosy tones 😂😂 it's a pretty shadow, it's just not worth the full price, on sale I think it's nice.
Try Rose Gold; it’s my fave!!
Oooh that’s good to know. Maybe I need to go to Sephora to swatch it!
@@KellyGooch did you purchase the pillow talk shade from CT directly? They have amazing customer service and would likely let you swap it.

Kelly!! Oyster pearl is soooo beautiful. I will 100% repurchase once I use up! A little bronzer in the crease with it tapped all over the lid- chefs kiss!

The shade oyster pearl isn't that great. Easy to work with, sure, but not worth the money.
I have enough hair on my head for 3 people. sometimes I do braids like that to make it seem like I have less hair, doesn't work at well though lol
