They’re a band with a unique visual style. But they are still 100% goth. Visual kei isn’t really a genre. Not that any of this really matters. We all appreciate Malice Mizer.

Actually, while watching this video I realize, I miss this time in my life. Everything was possible back then, you were experimental and it was okay. Death was something interesting to make great songs of… and visual kei was just crazy. I remember how hard it was to get my hands on this music.
Today Mana announced that the last issue of "Gothic & Lolita Bible" will be published on May 24th, and than the magazine will be suspended. I'm here, listening to this song after 16 years, crying and thinking that an era is definitely finished.

Around 2003, I was playing "Phantasy Star Online" on Gamecube, and I teamed up with someone in a black dress named "Mana." They then told me about Malice Mizer, and I decided to check them out. This video was my first exposure to the band, and I honestly cannot remember how we went about finding videos in a pre-RUclips internet. I was instantly hooked, but at the time, I didn't know they were already on hiatus. Still, this song, and the albums "Merveilles" and "Bara no Seidou" are especially nostalgic for me. I really wish there was a way to purchase the albums digitally.

completely agree. Other songs have more of a Közi or Gackt influence to them, but here you can clearly hear Mana's touch. When it comes to aesthetics I think it had to do more with Klaha and his introduction, as he was always less extravagant than any other of the members.
Oh this was absolutely where they were headed and it’s very evident in Moi dix Mois that Mana was pushing towards that sound had they not disbanded. I’ve always looked at Mana as the biggest voice in the group yet the one who never speaks haha

I always loved Klahas' voice best, but maybe because the sound always hit more than the previous. It made my little goth heart beat a little faster. Besides, I just love his voice. Even as an old maid, listening to this makes me feel like 20 all over again *haha*
Klaha is a former singer-song writer, best known for being the third vocalist of Malice Mizer. His only accredited role was in Malice Mizer's first and only film "Bara no Konrei". He had a solo career after Malice Mizer's disbandment, but as of 2004 is no longer active in music or media. Which is sad because he have alot of talent. I wish I could follow him on social media.

when i was a kid (my mom showed me these videos) i was like "omggg mana playing the violin" (i was starting to play it too, so it amazed me), but now at 18 and knowing how to play the violin well, i'm like "nooooo pLEASE don't do that, why do you move you arm like thAt" and just suffer with every cutscene of him trying to mimic the movements

I always loved Klahas' voice best, but maybe because the sound always hit more than the previous. It made my little goth heart beat a little faster. Besides, I just love his voice. Even as an old maid, listening to this makes me feel like 20 all over again *haha*
Klaha is a former singer-song writer, best known for being the third vocalist of Malice Mizer. His only accredited role was in Malice Mizer's first and only film "Bara no Konrei". He had a solo career after Malice Mizer's disbandment, but as of 2004 is no longer active in music or media.
Which is sad because he have alot of talent. I wish I could follow him on social media.
