You're right. I hate fighting that character, but that move losing its evasiveness makes no sense. You can tell that move was designed to fully evade highs.
Yeah I did Jin's heat engager from zen stance which is a high and the move still hit her I'm like okay I'll take it 😂

Jun was never as overpowered as people claimed. They were just salty because her Heat Smash, like many others, should never have tracked like it did. They gave her MORE healing than she had before, reverted some of the previous nerfs and she's still underperforming. The people saying she was Top 5 all that time while she had next to no presence comparatively in competitive was wild.
idk what u talkin about but shes def strong. just look at top players and their replays with jun. she's just hard to play. and ig the main things that brought her down were the self damage nerfs from things like df21 and f21. thats the only spot i disagree on with ferg's tierlist, and jack too. rest is pretty good (maybe minus lars)

@@TTboi69she is strong but her placement here is valid, her offense is very adaptable thats why she’s better played defense cause of her great punishment, keepout panic moves, heat parry, whiff punish. However if the opponent has very strong defense she really struggles cause they will rely on pokes, movement, sidestep, no riskt plays etc.
i have been trying Nina out since the Jun changes and she is strong but very difficult. I am getting the execution down but she has options and it is alot to digest.
Doing the cancels into other stuff and other cancels feels crazy. Yet picking the options the work is another problem.

They gave king the buff, because they removed the oki. They didnt nerf it, they did remove it. And they did want him being able to realing with the enemies, since homing property of grabs are removed. King has strickt counterplay. He is linear, now u can step the grabs too, and he has no mashing tools.
bro alisa is def top 5 great movement, great pokes, great ch, and braindead gameplan
agreed but not top 5, top 10. all chars in his top 5 (minus paul) are appropriate. i think reina or shaheen deserve that spot and alisa be put before drag with xiao and jin.

people who play passively and block more, waiting for opportunities
People who play extremely defensively and utilizes sidesteps/parries more often.
It’s just a playstyle refusing to engage in offense at all. You sit there like a wall and occasionally throw out a poke/punish when the opponent overextends
People who play like a bitch because they lack the mental capacity to formulate and actual offensive plain..There brains lack this ability so they stand in a spot never moving until you attack them..Never engaging in a fight only reacting.Its the fighting game equivalent to fps campers

I don't know any Claudio players who say hes low tier 😂 just that hes got noticeable weakness. hes strong but prob top of mid. people suddenly trying to act like hes some secret top tier but Mulgold is just imo the best player in the world currently

Claudio being anywhere below top 15 is absolutely hilarious he's just as broken as he was in T7, but even more so with DB1+2
Claudio strength is his strings and arguably one of the easiest characters to learn, his only problem is he has almost nothing to attack the guard, like fengs knee move for instance

King should have been the boss of Tekeen a long time ago. The most powerful and sneaky character against whom in the game you don’t know what’s better, crouch and get a good mid or even worse a knee, followed by an air combo, or stand and get a grab from which you can’t escape. In a word, one mistake and goodbye.
I dont understand how King having a wavedash is considered so broken when armor king had the same thing forever, and also has a much more threatening mixup out of it due to how fast his chain throws came out compared to kings. It is undoubtedly strong af and i wish they didnt give it to him, but with the nerfs to throws in general i feel like he is not top 1, that seems insane. His mixup out of wavedash isnt even that threatening as you can fuzzy any of the slower mids due to how slow the chain grabs come out, all he has to mix you with is ws4. I honestly think T7 king is about the same strength as current T8 king, yet T7 king never touched S tier and the other characters in this game are monsters too
If Armor King had King’s mids, he might be overpowered.
King has no weaknesses outside of a kinda shitty KBD and he’s elite at a few things.
Remember when ak had mids? Ye he was top 10 lmao. Ak in tag 2 was probably the best AK has ever been (T1 ak had king's broken df1 and unbreakable launching throws but it doesn't count lmao) Tag 2's movement favored AK greatly and he still had ss2. If t7 ak had anywhere near his ttt2 movement AND ss2 he'd definitely be at least top 15
Also, king being at top 1 is absurd absolutely lmao top 5 ye but top 1? Hell nah. And he has infinite mids and a super strong low that he can mix u up with along with his gs/isw mix up like what ak did, I don't count king's chain as a mix up cus they come out so slow but he still has gs/isw mix up along with ws2,2 which is a homing mid that's hit confirmable, launching mid in ws1+2, cd1+2, cd4, ws4 and a very very strong low at ffn2. I don't get why king players are downplaying king's wavu so fucking hard lmao like bro just abuse it

@@Kaizer_Ulysses for the record I agree that he’s top 5, my point was more that I think the wavu change is getting overblown. While the ability to realign more easily is great, king has always been able to wavedash snd it has never been a huge factor in his gameplay. King absolutely dies to ssr, which he should, but there is at least way more risk for king to throw now. Top 1 is just hyperbolic, even if df2 is a war crime (he needs it)
They gave King a wave dash because he got massively nerfed by the system change. No more tracking throws, 14 frames window to counter throws instead of 10 frames, and massively scale damage from collapsed floors.
King got hugely nerfed in the patch. Mostly because of the system changes but also moves like F+3 getting nerfed for no obvious reason. He already had huge weaknesses. Really not sure why everyone says he got buffed.
Very true about devil jins hellsweep combo. Pointless cutscene that serves no purpose but to waste time. They should just give him the damage and make it a 2 hit string or make it an actual launcher like before.
Paul is better but he's not top 5, not even close. To the point where i can't even believe you believe this. He is maybe just bairly top 10. Basically, his best changes are better mix options with sway duckin and a more stable combo route with better wall carry. The changes to hammer of the gods are welcome and if you get counter hit on a max charge you deserve the big damage. Forward 2 at 13 frames does not push him to top 5.

He’s got some solid tools but his homing move is a high and his sonicfang tracks everyone but lili, but it’s -12 and requires high execution.
I’ll add that raven being bottom 5 is a big lie. Switch Xiaoyu with him and the tier lies would make more sense.
The amount of things he said about raven shows that either he encountered ravens who just force the 50/50 with little to no neutral or he just doesnt know his frames. His parries are godlike. Feng main here.
I don't agree with Nina this is not the right place for her. Even those people who played well for her do not find it very easy. This is a big mistake. Her place is no higher than in the top10, in her place you need to put xiaoyu, who has no brakes at all, her attacks have no minuses on blocking at all and cause a lot of damage. 😭🥴

If arslan or ulsan are playing them, they are top tier. They literally switch characters every patch to stay with the best character... Except arslan only picks waifus so male characters don't count.
Good list I think, just really cant agree with some of the placements. Especially Claudio who is consistently being played in top 8s at different tournaments (not just talking about Mulgold), doing great,... IDK would 100% put him above the likes of Asuka, Lee and Law.

Ling placed way too high. I don’t know why people insist on putting her up there only because she feels good to use is practice mode. She’s lacking a lot and can get easily beat out by a lot of characters, especially players who turtle. She’s more like bottom of the pack more than anything.
I’m glad a non Raven player is telling the truth about how 💩 Raven is. Extra buggy, high risk, and lackluster risky ws/cd mids.
Fix the bugs and make some clone attacks -10 to -12 as opposed to a blanket -14 frames. Add Confirm window on CD1. Weak character.
To think that Yoshi is in the top 5 is a straight-up mistake on your part. The character is crazy complex; not only can the opponent cancel his kincho with a simple jab, but even his samurai cutter can be countered with a while crounching punch. I know people are afraid to battle against a Yoshi because of his options, are frightened, and just want to easily level themselves up for an easier matchup. Do more grabs and jabs, and understand the opportunities. Most of his moves need preparation before striking. He simply has more freedom over what can be done instead of being a one-trick combo character.
Complexity doesnt translate to him being weak. Take a look at his stupid unblockable setups. Pretty much every top player agrees Yoshi is S-Tier. KaneandTrench said pre patch that he's sure Yoshis gotta get nerfed and he was fine with it. Stop downplaying.
@@Comrade_Questions he's definitely strong but most people absolutely don't put him in S tier especially not top 5. Yoshi has always had very middle of the road frames and offense, in the past it was a lot worse but you still can't rush people down. Flash is good but vastly overrated by people who don't play the character. I'd put Yoshi in A or A+

I can’t believe you said devil jin designs is wack, o well. Character is so cool, if i could wavedash and do ewgf like 80% of the time i would main him. Character is also weak right now, work super hard when other characters have it way easier.
Alisa should be higher look at her chainsaws and arslan uses her alongside nina
Yes, it was very fun to see how busted her chainsaws were that Mulgold was able to side walk/interrupt them quite consistently. Arslan wouldn't had won that if Mulgold would've stop whiffing for no reason.
@@c.c.anubis she has a homing move on chainsaw sa cover that weakness my point is chainsaws are still destructive even on block especially on hit
@@loupast7587 I mean, every character has moves designed to cover for the weaknesses, and if you make a read on her trying to use the homing, the way Mulgold did, you launch her, so it's not like there's no counter play.
She should be allowed to have some mind games, especially when everyone else does.
@@c.c.anubis yes mind games but her neutral and mix ups are already so good in neutral movement added her overtuned chainsaws is overkill already is she under the radar right now we'll see if she's still untouched on season 2
@@loupast7587 I wouldn't mind them touching her, IF they get Dragunov, Reina, Feng, Jin, Nina and Xiaoyu out of top 10 first. Dragunov has better movement than Alisa and everything she does, he does better, so there's no point in nerfing her when a better Alisa is still there.

Hi Fergus. The tier list shape should be different, you need to add some bullet points, which is tournament results, some usage properties and ranking. Without that, tier listing based on thoughts is not really valid
