Great job getting the new tire on it, some creative work and it looks really great and as demonstrated works great as well.
An interesting idea but seems a lot of messing around guess all about saving money know the original tyres and wheels very costly

Looks like a lot of work for a hard ride. Hold bits & pieces for years, no more then a week if that after you get rid of it & you will have to go buy it LOL. Not sure it will help with the thorns but I would try the tubes that come with the slime.

Good point! They are noticeably harder ride than the air tires. We still have a bunch of the thorns here that came from the horrid Bradford pear trees we got rid of over 10 years ago. They make multiple small punctures in the tires just enough for a slow leak.
.. the weak rim will breakout where the tiny toy bearing inserts .. but they are cheap so short service lifes to be expected .. I run into to much stuff so a soft tire has some advantages ..?.. Ha ha ..!
Your probably right. I already have my eye on a tool adapter for replacing the flat free tires onto the OEM rims. Im keeping those rims and will get the adapter & Tires to fit them when these fail. Im going to try to remember to record how many acres mowed with these till failure.
... I was surprised the 1ST time I broke a rim and have broke two more since my Lil' 100 series JD mowing 4 acres go threw cheap steering and spindles all the time .. have my prius running again .. did the 12v batt and buss bar thing thanks Victor ..! @@saneauto
