    Kilian won even though he prefers much more technical terrain. He's a mountain climber so smooth trails doesn't suit him. As for descending he's the best the sport has ever seen. Watching him run down super steep technical alpine terrain is unbelievable

    • @3stooges0
      @3stooges0 4 года назад +1

      Well idk about smooth trails not suiting him. Sure he's the best mountain runner on earth but he's won plenty of races with smoother trails like Western States etc.

    I have been a volunteer with the announcer for several years. It was so fun to watch you cross the finish line on Saturday. I ran the triple crown series and the ascent in 2015 and I plan to do it again next year. The energy in the crowd when Maude finished was unbelievable. Thank you for another great video.

    Really enjoyed this! What I loved the most about this is this guy knows trail running, he understands the requirements to film something like this. If I was watching some local with a camera trying to get a good view of the athletes I don't think I could watch that LOL but this guy knows the deal. Well done.

    Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your videos. Glad I found this channel several weeks ago. It's not just the quality and content (although both are great!). I think your genuine enthusiasm and joy are inspiring and that's what keeps me coming back. I'm sure you have days that aren't like that, but your videos have kept my less-than-motivated days at a minimum. Great race at Pike's! Congrats! Keep up the good work!!!

    Seth, you rock getting the BEST footage of this race on the mountain and at the finish! Thank you so much for "geeking out" like the rest of us would love to be able to do. Love your passion! Your videos are the BEST!!! Keep 'em coming! And great job on Saturday at the Ascent on Saturday, we were so happy for you and your family, you killed it!

    Hi Seth, thanks a million for this great vlog on the Pikes Peak Marathon! Wonderful footage especially since the live streaming was such a disappointment. And congrats again on your own amazing 2nd place at the Pikes Peak Ascent! My guess is that with the right training and support you could be a serious competitor to Kilian, Sage and all the others... you got it in you, man! Seek beauty, work hard and love each other! :-)

    Great coverage, Seth!! I've run the Ascent three times in years past, but haven't been up for the race in recent years, so I've volunteered as a van driver.... its' cool driving up and down and up and down the Peak and talking with the racers of all abilities. So cool meeting you at the top!! You looked amazing and your energy right after crossing the finish line was nothing short of incredible. THEN, how cool was it to see you on the trail on Sunday???!! Thanks for all you do!!

    Have not run either the accent or marathon but my wife and I have volunteered for then. My wife volunteered this year at packet pick up for the marathon and got to meet a lot of the elites including Killian, Remi, and Aritz. Also, she was at the top for the accent, she was working gear check and making sure everyone got their warm clothes. Love these vlogs Seth. I'm sure I just missed meeting you at the marathon, we were just at the start of the trail off Ruxton. Another time. Keep it up, you do an amazing job and I love the energy toy bring to these posts. The Ascent in 2002 was my first introduction to running races. I eventually ended up in long distance triathlon. Was at coaching conference over the weekend and was so pleased to learn that race was going on. I did my training run on the trail Saturday night between Ascent and Marathon. The Ascent was so incredible and emotional, I have always said that I left my heart on the top and I need to do the full to bring it back down! Maybe next year. Matt Carpenter was the first name in running I knew. He ran/won Ascent that year.
