    Very similar case finishing as the Halios Seaforth, especially in the light blue. Love it! Update 5-8-23, just ordered the Night with the Nytech Sky Blue strap. Thanks for the review, RR!

    I have not heard of this brand before your review. Looking at their website, there are a couple of models that I absolutely love and the prices are fantastic. I'm not in the market to purchase a new watch at the moment, but I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on these guys. Micro putting out original designs makes up the majority of my collection! Also followed them on Instagram

    So now you can buy these cheap ‘true’ GMTs will people stop bashing caller style GMTs. The style most suited to 95% of the population.

      why are callers more suitable?

    • @iHaejeog
      @iHaejeog Год назад +1

      @@timcarlstrand5890 Probably because most people don't travel enough to justify the need for a flyer (true) GMT. I still think watches with the flyer GMT movements and an external rotating bezel are the best because you can independently adjust the hour hand to the time of your destination if you travel and then you can just rotate the bezel to show the home time.

    • @andrea81
      @andrea81 Год назад

      @@timcarlstrand5890 depends on the lifestyle really. if one travels a lot, the traveler style is more suitable. Otherwise, if it is most common that you are staying at home and use the GMT hand to track a time zone somewhere else in the world, the caller is more suitable.

    • @johnsrabe
      @johnsrabe Год назад

      @@timcarlstrand5890 Maybe because more people are likely to be calling than traveling? To me part of the fun of traveling across time zones is adjusting my watch. It highlights how cool I am that I’m traveling across time zones.

  • @andrea81

    Noticed them already, love them, the downsides I see are 1)5ATM (yeah it's ok, but 10 would have been better) 2) It surely wears fine but I would have preferred a little bit smaller 3)no bracelet with fitted endlinks (they offer one with straight ones)

    This looks like homage to the older Christopher Ward Trident with the pencil hands, but with modern Christopher ward hands instead. The minute hand even seems to resemble the Christopher ward hour hand, which I suppose is unique/different

    I like these but I do disagree about the screw in crown. 50m does not give me confidence to go swimming on holiday, particularly without a screw in crown!!
    Such a shame.

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport Год назад

      You can always take the watch off when you go swimming. Only watches I really ever go swimming with, lake or pool etc is a GShock. I love screw down crowns, and I do agree, I would love to have a little more water resistance for this piece, just that piece of mind, but Like Rob says, this isn't a dive watch, its a sport GMT watch. I have one of these for review as well, and I do wish it had more WR, but also aware not every watch needs it.

    • @stuartheyburn8741

      @@watchreport all fair points, it’s just if I had a gmt, I would probably take it on holiday and would want to be able to swim etc with confidence without having to take it off. But that’s just me.👍

    I like the textured dial ... but it reminds me too much of Christopher ward C60 and the GMT which can be had at almost the same price with a Sellita. Not that the miyota isnt a nice movement.

    • @andrea81
      @andrea81 Год назад

      The Miyota is a traveler GMT, the Sellita is a caller, so if you prefer the first variant, there's that.

    • @kenweller2032

      Plus, the Christopher Ward is Swiss Made, or so it says on the dial. All I've seen regarding the Marloe is that it's "British Design". Where is it actually made?

      Seiko does quite a few 42/20 divers 🤷‍♂️. For me the balance depends more on the lug shape. My Seiko solar has thick lugs so it works.

    Black hands on a black dial doesn't do much for readability, and give the appearance of being much too short when only the lume is visible.. This would be great with white hands.
