Oh yesssss! Finally! My science teacher(Online class) gave this worksheet where you need to do this simple experiment that you just did but I dont have any materials and I can't go to the stores right now cuz here, in my country, we're still being quarantined and so I wanted to thankyou for making this video. It really helped me a lot. Thankyou♡
You can try the same with salt water and potable water :) you can see a barrier between the both until the salt mixes and evens the salt levels of all the water. That's a cool experiment to do to explain how we have Spring water in the rivers, in the delta it's slightly salty and in the sea its salt water :)
Oh cool, how salty does it have to be? I'd like to try that because we've seen pictures of where salt water meets fresh water the barrier between the two is pretty incredible. I just thought of a way to do this project...look for it in about 2 weeks!! -Hana
The more salty you can get it the better it works :) and it's pretty awesome just letting the two waters meet and see the slow movement until the salt gets even in all the water. Don't forget to remind your geology explorer that salt is no more than a mineral which can be found on earth :) he can even do a small experiment of diluting as much salt as possible in water, placing some in a plate near the windows and watching the salt crystals grow as the water evaporates.
Two of my kids watched this and are now so very excited to do this at our house! Thanks!
