Lately I was thinking that Yusuke did not like to be Kuuga, ironically his actor did not like the character completely either, but out of real life Yusuke's personality was that of a man who liked to protect the smile of others, but he hated violence, only resorting to it when the situation warranted it. We must also remember that Yusuke is a free spirit, someone who loves to travel the world and does it frequently, something that the second half of the series makes clear to us is that Yusuke resents the responsibility of being Kuuga, but even so, he decides to stay to protect the innocent of the Gurongi. If we think deeply we can find one of the characteristics that connect Yusuke with his predecessors, more specifically with Takeshi Hongo. The two, Hongo and Yusuke fought each other in battles that did not seem to end, of course in Takeshi's case the battle against Shocker and his successors never ended, but that does not lessen Yusuke's situation. Recall that Yusuke did not know how long it would take to save the smiles of all those that the Gurongi threatened, but he came to a point where he came to feel his spirit becoming darker, symbolized by his change of clothes in the course of the series to a blacker tone. By the time he had a final confrontation with N-Daguva-Zeba Yusuke had lost his own smile, he was willing to take extreme measures to defeat him, even if it meant ending his life at the hands of Ichijou. In part because Yusuke could not resist more the pressure of his duty as Kuuga, we take into account that by this time Yusuke was still repressing his anger to avoid becoming the Ultimate Darkness. Although this drastic measure was somewhat irresponsible on the part of Yusuke, this is just the mouth of his Despair because he could not stand the idea that the people around him lost hope with every encounter with No.0. At the end of his adventure Yusuke regained his own smile, this left behind his identity as Kuuga, symbolized by his change of clothes by wearing a white shirt in the final scene of the beach in the light of the sun and a blue sky.
groungi is actually my favorite villain in all of kamen rider. they are so interesting and mysterious, like how the police figure their gegeru and personal rule. and yet they are also complex, like for example is the scorpion groungi. she has to kill humans in a box reflecting the colour of her nails. I just love groungi
+Mckydo doing research on them for the script acutally felt like I was doing a research report, they have a culture and lore damn near as intresting as any actual ancient civilizations now...
To be honest I actually thought Daguva was a dark rider first time I saw him cause he give me a shadow moon vibe but then I found out he's just the final villain
Top powerful Gurongi: 1. N Daguva Zeba( Ultimate form ) 2. Go Gadoru Ba( Shocker form ) 3. Go Baberu Da( Herculean form) 4. Go Jaaza Gi( Herculean form ) 5 Zu Gooma Gu( Ultimate form )
Actually, Daguba's full name is N-Daguba-Zeba. As we know, 'ba' here means 'insect' as the last part of their name represents the kind of animal their kaijin form is. Here 'Zeba' means 'the holy insect'. ‘Ze' is a prefix that means 'Holy/Sacred' in their language. This is the privilege of Daguba as he is the only member of the N rank in Kamen Rider Kuuga. Only he can use the title 'Zeba' to show he is superior to any other Gurongi. And in Kamen Rider Decade, there was another Gurongi of the N group. His is a wolf Gurongi and his name is N-Gamio-Zeda. Here, 'Da' represents terrestrial mammals(usually called as 'beast' in Japanese Kanji). So 'Zeda' means 'the Holy beast'.
The Grongi should terrify everyone more than any other Rider monsters, because unlike Shocker's cyborgs, Golgom's mutants, the Orphenochs, the Worms, or whatever else you can name, if we gave up on everything that made us human, our compassion and our willingness to form bonds with others, we could _easily_ become them. Even one of the kindest people came a hair's breadth from falling into the darkness, so if we aren't careful, we all could slip into that same chasm. And to me, that's why Kuuga is on its own level in this franchise.
Go-Gadoru-Ba was the best gurongi on my oppinion. Because , i see him fight with Zu-Gooma-Gu after Zu-Gooma-Gu claw mystery girl gurongi. In the end fight between , Go-Gadoru-Ba and Zu-Gooma-Gu , Zu-Gooma-Gu was cleary lost. But , Sh**t Zu-Gooma-Gu turns his Perfect Form.
Before reading the lore...i like to think that kuga and agito are heroes from another tribe(?)...so in kuga..daguva is just another type of agito...and in agito the enemies are just imperfect kuga...
@@momotaro__ I think Kuuga was the inspiration for Agito lore wise, the Light God saw Kuuga and said like "I'm going to do that do that" and boom Agito
Well by right should be 98 episode..... Rumour that i heard....nv meant to kill off other Grongis....but due to Shotaro Ishinomori passed away....They no choice have to “closed” the story abruptly. By right....Rikku also revive way at the back and he and current Kuuga(Joe Odagiri) will fight for the belt..... Rumours.....
Kuuga is such an interesting KR show. How I wish the rumour is true and they can prolong it as long as possible. So far the events only centered on Nagano and Tokyo regions. It will be fun to see the carnage spread to the rest of Japan, from Okinawa all the way to Hokkaido. That will be real sick and nightmare for the whole of Japan.
Lords, the enemy of Agito is actually the enemy of Grongi as well, and actually they're good guys for helping Lint tribes with the Kuuga system and fighting back the Grongis too But in Agito, there's a supranatural phenomenon where people blessed with Agito (making them super-humans), and the Overlord don't want that, so he ordered the Lords to kill those superhumans While Grongis cannibal and attack any humans, Lords aren't hostile to normal humans, they'll only attack superhumans blessed with the Agito

It's my fav rider lol Kuuga
+Lyndel Scott well the thing about the gurongi is that first you must understand the japanese language first because its the basis of the language.. the Kamen Rider wikia has some useful info on it, and apparently some fans tried to decypher the language
yes i tryed to figure it out the wiki has some information but no translator or even the origin of this language am sure it must be ancient and were can i find fan translations of what there saying for each episode?
My only questions so far... I want to know what does the Grongi keeps talking about since there's no translation whenever they are talking in Kuuga episodes... I was always wondering... What was it they are talking about on each episodes featuring those Grongi either in their form or human form are talking about...
There's another Gurongi in the N group called N.Gamio.Zeda and he should be even stronger than Daguva. I mean I remember seeing Daguva trying to bring forth the ultimate darkness either through himself or Ultimate Kuuga (In Kuuga) while Gamio himself is the ultimate darkness (In Decade).
Ra-Baruba-De didn’t kill anyone since she judged the gegeru, so therefore she didn’t take part in it. She probably let Ichijou kill her since she was one of the last like two or three gurongi left, so she saw there was no point in trying to fight him.
The Kamen riders before Kuuga never really utilize the secondary rider trope except for a few cases like Kamen Rider #2, Riderman, and Human Tackle. Agito was the first to start the secondary rider trope in the series.
It was also to a tribute to Ishinonori Shotaro, the creator of Kamen Rider, as he died before he can see the finished product that is Kuuga. It was to keep with the traditional in the Showa Era Kamen Rider that a single man fights against a great evil with the powers of the same evil, not counting instances like Nigo (IRL reasons). So a Secondary Rider is completely unnecessary.
A second rider is unnecessary for a story like this. This is a story about a single man (and his friends) fighting against a murderous tribe full of superhuman
remember this show did come out in the 2000 & no, that the time of the series, its hinted that humans were on the verge of becoming Gurongi. Violent yes, but not Gurongi level. This could get way more philosophical than it needs to be.
As someone who have seen Kuuga, the reason why the Gurongi are so unsually violent is because of how they view their murders as nothing more than a game. There is no reason for them to conquer and subjugate humanity like Shocker and it's organizations because at the core they were once a human tribe like the Linto who found some cool metal buckles that let them assume animalistic forms and kill other tribes for the hell of it. They are serial killers as a civilization with the worst traits of humanity has to offer. Humans have killed others in wars but they often justify it with moral reasons and an understanding that some of their enemies are actually evil and must be stopped. The Gurongi has no sense of ambition except enjoying the sadistic nature of their murders. They would laugh at Shocker for it's attempts to join sides with them. They would sadistically kill the amazons for trying to suppress their hunger against all odds rather than just turn the humans into food.
MrAsaqe Yeah. They’re the things even the Overlord of Darkness won’t tolerate. They would no doubt approve of the Rider War, and Daguva can just kill Shiro Kanzaki for being weak. The fact that Shiro did this just to revive his sister makes him a weakling in Daguva’s eyes. The Undead May be Immortal, but it won’t stop them from having fun.
