How do you do relationships in this season? Friendships? Bible study? Date nights? Girls nights? Mentor coffee dates? 🤣

Love this playlist!!! Would you mind speaking about how you homeschool while dealing with mental health? Don’t know if you suffer from that since you always look so positive and energetic but things like anxiety and depression. Some days are harder than others for me 😩

My kids are still young enough (5 and 7) to be excited about our weekly trips to the store, library and other errands. It's a blessing. One of these days I will need to plan an actual field trip or two.

How do you decide what music, books, shows, websites etc are "ok". I feel like I get too hung up on these. I feel like you have thought it through and decided but I would like to hear how you found the comfort level you landed on. I go back and forth.

I have the same questions. Do you pre-view all of the TV shows your kids watch?

We don’t do a ton of field trips. I remember them being so exciting because they were a break from the boring grind of public school but since we homeschool we don’t need a “carrot on a stick” like that. Going to the zoo or national parks or museums are just living life for us so we just make connections to things we’ve studied before as we go.

How I feel too! We take advantage of all kinds of activities as a lifestyle. Some things are planned more intentionally because of what we’re studying but more often than not, it’s just life and calling it field trips throws me off 😅

I was telling my cousin (who lives out of state) that I took my family to some local historic places and he asked me if it was for homeschooling. I said, "any trip can be for homeschool!" It really is true though. They learn so much and it's fun!

Ashlee, have you heard any of the Clio app? It shows historical sites/places near you and details about what you’ll see when you visit. You can set up how many miles away from your location you want covered or pick a locale/state you want to visit and look up their historical places of interest. Really cool! 👍🏻

We are actually doing a field trip based on history. We have started history 1 and we just covered the ark. We live in Ky and next week we are going to the ark! I think that’s pretty cool😁

We went last year and it was amazing! My kids were too little to enjoy it(4, 2, newborn) but I’d love to go back again when they are older.

I've been impatiently waiting for Boston to lift some restrictions there. Oh my gosh, the history! Such a perfect compliment to TGTB Gov/Constitution Unit.

These videos are so helpful. I have a question about history, since you do it as a family how does your youngest catch up on the history that you’ve already taught the oldest? Next year I’ll start homeschooling a second child and I’m just a little confused on how she will learn the things my oldest has already learned since we will just be continuing through the history and not going back as a group 🧐 I hope I made sense. Thanks!

How do you do Bible time? Do you use a Bible curriculum, Bible study, or how do you consistently spend time in the Word with your children?

I enjoyed going back over these videos. We do history trips based on our history curriculum SOTW (mostly local in Hampshire and some in London- we are in the UK). My sons favourite is History and going to Museums. We are also doing a few science ones too , more for fun than a specific topic. We have to travel to London for science trips and museums, it can take a lot of time and cost a lot of money so we don’t do those ones as often so I look for museums to link to our currently history learning. I find I have to be more intentional with trips and socialisation because I have a 9 year old and 3 year old. I wish they were closer in age and we had a more schooly setting.

Last year was our first HS year and with everything closed we didn’t do any field trips. So this year I am so excited to geek out and plan all the trips!

We were traveling last weekend . We happened to find the world's largest fork in Springfield, Missouri. It was near our hotel, so it showed up on the Google map. Pretty cool! I hope I can take my boys on more field trips this school year. Sometimes the very best ones are unexpected.

I homeschooled during a move. I just had to pare down what we were doing during the weeks leading up to the move and 2 weeks after so I could get unpacked. We did lots of review worksheets and free reading but that still counts as school. Our school was the last thing we packed before the move and the first thing unpacked after the move. It was no more hassle than just the normal annoyance of moving anyway. Just my two cents. HTH

We do about 2 field trips per school year. I don't feel like we are lacking! In the summer, we have more adventures and opportunities to explore.

I'm a part of several groups for the field trips, because I don't have the mental space to plan a bunch of outings. 😅 Haha! I also sign up for local state newsletters and they frequently promote awesome events like hot air balloon festival or air shows. Great video! 💕💕

Hey girl! Love your channel. Do you know of any “curriculums” for kids around 2 years old? Any suggestions on what daily activities I need to incorporate into my daughter’s day other than just play?

You could look into Before Five in A Row or Peaceful Press- preschool.
