Just got my Wildfire XLT. The product is good quality. They sent me the incorrect bridge jack and the lift was damaged in transit. Neither Wildfire or ABF (freight company) want to take ownership for the damages. My conclusion... if you live close enough to pick it up yourself in Minnesota, go for it. If you pay $500+ for shipping, you are on your own when it arrives damaged.
Howdy, Ya better watch out for the crummy china bearings - all 10 of them. I had one bust into bits. If you hear any noise at all --- get out from under and let it down and check it. I have a video on this. If Wildfre offers replacement bearings don't use them. Get the best you can and be safe!
That big suburban tilting like that looked pretty scary. I have had a few scary moments on our lift. One time one of the lift arms kicked out somehow. Luckily the truck was just off the ground. There is a safety that is suppose to lock the arms when lifting. Something went wrong. Slow and steady when on any lift is the way to go. Look at everything close and stop when something doesn't look right and correct it. I was really surprised to see the suburban hanging over. Maybe add some extensions.
Yeah it scared me pretty good 😳 I don’t understand why they call this an XLT lift and it barely fits a full size truck width. I understand why the lift hung up now so it should be an easy fix.

Nice lift. I was hollering at the screen when you first started driving on the lift for you to get your head out the window. Lol all my new trainees take 5 minutes to pull on a lift for the first few weeks. You'll get a good feel for it after a while. The only drive on lift we have is our alignment lift and its not as narrow as yours. I was surprised that suburban was hanging off as much as it was. I'm looking forward to the projects to come in your new digs. -Dennis
Nice life but you failed to get the cables tight equally. The point at which each post lock falls into place is up to you and how you have adjusted the cables.
I adjusted the cables with no load on the lift and they were dead on, but when I put a load on it, there was definitely some more adjustment needed. I think the biggest issue was the rod that moves the stop out of the way on the far corner wasn't getting the stop out all the way. I adjusted on it and it helped.
I see the Mustang skid steer in the back, did you ever try and lift that up on the hoist for service. It is really a pain to get under the Mustangs and drop the access panels to get to the pumps and hoses or start replacing rear wheel bearings and axle seals. Just bought one of the old school 12k chain lift 4 post lifts where both runways can adjust in and out for whatever track width you want. Curious if the Wildfire lift was ok for the old Mustang
As disastrous as that was the lift seemed to weather it very well. Do you think if it was bolted down that the lift would have had some damage? That lift seems to be the best and safest 4 post for non-professional service I have seen. I think any other design would be damaged by that mishap. It's a bit concerning that the issue you had was caused by the ramps and not recognizing that a lock was not released due to inexperience. I assume that bridge jack was designed to be used while the vehicle was up in the air to where you can get to it but after thinking about it that seems sketchy to be under the vehicle while doing another lift of the vehicle with the bridge jack. For the greatest level of safety it seems like you would want to position the jack while the properly adjusted lift (you may have to adjust lift for a new vehicle especially one near the maximum capacity or large difference in weight front to back) is up on the locks then stand away from the lift (possibly even lower the lift) then raise the vehicle with the bridge jack, then raise/lower the lift again to the height you want to work at.
You have got to be kidding! "Wildfire" lifts are *NOT* ALI Certified. Absolutely no independent testing to verify safety which, as far as I am concerned, means guaranteed danger.
Calm down, you are right. Wildfire should pay up to get it certified. I’ve since learned that this company uses cheap components like their bearings, etc. I really like this style and I think it is the safest 4-Post design for DIY if operated correctly and maintained, it’s just Wildfire did a poor job of copying it.
Definitely not wide enough , 9000 pound lift is lifting trucks so it beats me why they didnt make it wider . The duelly will be interesting:) Jay a rope on that moveable lift plus detach that pump with a long extention on the hydraulic hose to make using the pump lever to be used out in the open might work better .
One jack to pick up the front or back hows a tire rotation supposed to take place. I'm guessing 2 can coexist and be ordered. The leveling issue ? hmm tension adjustments? I know they all have to be set up right...So is this worth the loot???
The lift does come with a jack tray but most vehicles can be jacked up from the ramps. Use jack stands and the jack up the other end. The problem was one of the catches was out of adjustment and wasn’t releasing all the way. The tension adjustment was a little off as well. As far as worth it goes, it depends on what you plan on using it for most of the time. A 2-post lift is great for most maintenance but I also plan to repair body work like rockers so this lift is better suited for that. Also my concrete isn’t thick enough to support a 2-post lift.
I am surprised how many of you guys do not know how to properly align your 4 post lift by adjusting those important cable ends prior to any loads. It does not self adjust. 4 post lifts are not meant to be used to service your vehicles, with the exception of maybe oil changes and to look under your vehicles. That rolling jack is a total joke, you wonder why they only available to lift each end of the car at a time? adjustability is only side to side that is so impractical. Get a 2 post lift, it's much better and safer if you are planning on servicing your vehicles. 4 post is good for vehicle storage, because this one can roll around vs bendpak that does not roll around may be help make it more flexible.

Of course you can use a 4-post lift to service vehicles. It’d be nice to have a 2-post lift. I’d add one in another bay if my slab was thick enough .
Vehicles can fall off a 2 post lift much easier. If the balance is changed either by removing parts or rocking the vehicle trying to loosen a part they can fall. There’s nothing safe about any lift if you don’t know what you are doing or if you do know but get complacent and ignore warning signs of issues developing. Before raising a 4-post lift to lower or lowering it on the locks you should absolutely check that the locks are in the right position by walking around the lift. It’s a step that is a huge hassle but half as much work on a 2-post lift. If you buy a 4-post lift to store a vehicle that doesn’t run you are much more likely not to use it for service, but they can be valuable tools for servicing/repairing vehicles.

That lift will be a nice addition to the shop. You may not be able to put everything on it but what fits will be great.

I haven't tried the dually yet, got another "old" project on the lift now that needs to be finished up. I like the idea of the rope. :)

Can you slide the tracks wider and drill new holes to bolt them yo the lift to accommodate woder trucks?
Might want to try switching those ramps... Looks like one notch is deeper than the other.
