Okay ever since I heard the song "Straight On" by the movie "Strange Magic" I couldn't help but imagine the fight between Elyon and Phobos! Even how Elyon feels that she must not hold back because of doubt or how Phobos becomes a "gambler" because he puts everything at stake since he has nothing left to lose.
Once again forgive me for the watermarks I did my best to avoid them this time. Please no flames. Enjoy the amv!

Me too. I think that this song is pretty much like the Escanor Siblings; criminally underapreciated! So once I heard it and the lyrics and such I immediately thought of this moment of the comics so I had to make a video about it! XD Thank you.

Well yeah Meridian had a matriarchal society which means no matter how good Phobos might be he still wouldn't be able to inherit.
Ironically in the series we see also how well read and informed he is (as opposed to Elyon who was raised on earth) knowing not just history and magic but having multiple talents. In the comics Queen Elyon special Elyon wonders how Phobos was able to do everything by himself while she struggled even with all the advisors by her side
All the above shows how devoted Phobos was to his desire to rule and if he weren't an amoral bastard (we all love by the way! 😂) he absolutely has great potential as a leader and it is sad indeed to see that he was never meant to be one especially seeing the large age difference he has with Elyon
