Awesome man , just picked up an 02 3.5 6 speed maxima same color as yours , seeing what you've done is inspiring me to do the same to mine! Biggest thing is I want to improve the shifting of that notchy loose 6 speed
Thanks Bro! 🙏🏾 and Yeah The Vision1Racing Springs with his Detent Kit really helped my car. Also try Using Redline MT85 GL4 or Synchromesh GL4 Fluid works real good too

The 02 maxima gives a little bit of R34 Skyline vibes with the aggressive look in the front
It does a bit. The shift knob and Gauge Cluster in the Maxima reminds me of them a lot lol
If my memory serves well, Nissan did try to make the front look like an r35 also the cluster is similar to the 34 anndd a certain version came with a Torsen lsd which are on skylines as well.

NICE!! did you get the ECU flashed? I had Nisformance flash mine and it made a huge difference above 5,000 RPM, I'm guessing due to the change in intake cam phasing...
Yeah I have Nisformance Reflash atm. It pulls nice! Since this vid, I’ve actually bought a few Performance Upgrades. I’ll do another Video with the current setup on the dyno soon
@@Jg.a33 I highly recommend an LSD, I installed an LSD from a Sentra SE-R Spec V tranny that I was able to get pretty cheap from a salvage yard. I'm also getting ready to install a 2014 Maxima engine. I just past 325,000 miles on the original motor and it still runs strong. It sound sliek it's knocking but I don't think it's a rod, especially the way I'm always hitting the 7,200RPM redline. this engine is dam near unbreakable. I also have all the NWP goodies, JWT flywheel, 4th gen exhaust manifold with Warpspeed Y-Pipe and full 2.5" exhaust with no cats. muffler is a Pypes Turbo to keep the noise down. I've had my 02 since December of 2013 and the only real major issue is throwout bearings going bad. I stopped using OEM and now use National brand throw out bearing... I also designed a better snorkel for the factory air box, that hot under hood air is a big power robber.

@@uptownsamcv I have a Maxima LSD in the Shed rn actually. When I switch to Gen 2(HR) I’ll throw in the LSD tranny at the same time.
@@Jg.a33 I'm also running 6th gen axles. only thing that sucks is the bracket for the passenger side will cost more than both axles if you can't find a used one.
@@uptownsamcv I actually Had 6th Gen axles before. They Held the power real good until I did a pull going to 140+ and then they blew up lol. At the Time, I used a bracket from a Murano (That was Auto) and it fit perfectly.
Where i get the intake from and how much?
Might get one soon, are they reliable trans wise etc? and what model is best I’m new to maximas but really want one and i’d be going 6MT
@@fidencio0 2002-03 is what I have in the vid and the best Gens imo. The trans can take some abuse. It’s the clutches and stock flywheel that can’t…. You’ll have to upgrade those

where did you find the adapters for headlights? the aftermarket lights dont plug directly in. I have a 02 GXE
These are Stock Headlights. I just Painted the housing black

Where does the intake filter route to? Is it the lower portion of the bumper? Looking to get this intake for my Infiniti I35 🤙
This intake just routes behind the battery. There’s a few different options now too. You can get this one from Nisformance but you’ll have to swap A Slot style Maf www.nisformance.com/product-p/nis-per-int-fwd.htm
Oh crap im totally dumb 🤣 im not sure why I was seeing the one that goes down by the bumper area. Must have watched a different video and then commented here. Sorry! But still super nice! What do you think of this style filter? Does it seem like it gets a good amount of air where it is?
@@alexanderking8776 they Do Have some that can go in the fender well but I wasn’t relocating the battery and doing all that 😂😂. I went with this intake because you have more space to do maintenance, sounds Better, and it just honestly looks cooler. still has pretty good air flow and can make solid gains too.
Did you always have issues with the ignition coils? My 02 did all the time. Mine was auto tho. 😔
On the Original 2002 engine I did. Oil would seep thru the valve covers onto the coils. I swapped to an 2008 (Gen 1) and haven’t had the problem since. Also, the 4spd Auto Trans is good for daily driving. Once you start modding it heavily, it’ll eventually break tho lol

I’m Feeling It… But Wish U Would Have Started It Up So We Could Hear How It Sounds…
I Filmed a Cold Start Vid shortly after this but it didn’t come out to well because of background noise. Once I get a New Camera, I’ll post a lot more vids of it running
Notice a difference with the cold air intake?
At the time the car picked up power but I eventually switched to a 3.5” Velocity intake and got retuned
How did you open up the headlights?
Use an Oven or a Cardboard Box W/Hairdryer
The block plate keeps the temps down??
No. The block Plate is suppose to help give more topend power thru the RPM. The 5 pc Spacer kit is what keeps the engine cool
Any recommendations on mods for 2003 Infiniti i35?
Yes, tbh most the mods on this maxima can be done on an I35. It’s basically the same car
What mods should I do since it’s an automatic I wanna make it good sound to it
@@ljsmith1420 If you’re just after sound and nothing performance wise, start with a Megan Racing or OBX Catback.

2000-01 are diff than 2002-03 Maximas. What are you trying to install?
@@Jg.a33 my 01 years s stock but I was wanting some suggestions on what installments for performance
@@Luccid17 Being that you have an 01 with the 3.0, I’d leave it stock and Reliable. The 3.0 is isn’t really the best for making power and it’s very difficult to find the right parts/combo.

280hp is Possible. Once it’s dyno tuned with all my new mods, I’ll share the Results with everyone.

Truhart. Id rec Godspeed Coilovers instead because they’re more adjustable
