cool toned / icy version of space cowboy -> ULTA Beauty Collection Bouncy Cream Eyeshadow in Buttercream. it's softer than space cowboy and $9. (the packaging is diff now, hopefully they didn't reformulate). sorry don't mean to test your eyeshadow no-buy hahaa
omg the ulta matte cream eyeshadows used to be sooo great (bought around 2016 maybe?), but i’m hesitant to rebuy since the reformulation. they had beeswax and i would guess they reformulated to be vegan. i might swing by ulta and test them on my arm against the old ones (obviously not eye safe at this point) and let you know!
i’ve opted to do only necessary shopping for now, as there’s been a sudden rise in covid cases in my state. hope you understand and stay safe and well!
A gander at the Gucci highlighter ingredient list coupled with some of the product review pictures I've seen leads me to think it's not a baked "gel powder", but more of a gel/cream-to-powder finish product. The formula looks like a derivative of the silicone based highlighters a-la fenty diamond bomb or stila heaven's hue. It also doesn't have any of the common gel agents that a typical baked gel-powder would have. This makes it doubly interesting as to why it's falling apart in the compact in-transit. Perhaps they didn't do a lot of temperature stability testing.
Lately my makeup consists of brown mascara, a lip oil & tapping a super sheer wet sparkle over the lids (Fenty how many carats). When I saw the doc magic sticks I sprinted but luckily they were sold out because I do not need! I definitely want, but do not need. Most likely will not purchase, esp at that price! 😮
I love wearing the Spectral Shine that way, layering my bronzer and blush over. Gorgeous! I’ve had good luck patting it on with those little triangle puffs too.
I agree 100% about the component for the VBB concealer, I really can not get behind those brush applicators because it seems to involve additional cleaning after use, on top of not controlling the amount of product dispensed......Besides, I am really really really in love with the Fara Homidi face compact, duo and all - they work together well and the proportions seem logical. Plus, it's great for my under eyes and as a base. Your lids are GLISTENING!!! What a great idea to combine the two!
Loooved this look! Going to try and recreate it. For me the new ND palette is more like biba married the metropolitan palette and had a baby with a single duochrome in there (which indies do so much better anyway). I own both, and all the new palettes ND is putting out are so much of the same it’s like the PMG playbook all over again, so there’ll be no ND purchases from me. Going to pull out my space cowboy single and try to replicate this gorgeous look, thanks for the inspo!
I picked up two of the Jooycee eye sticks to see how I like the concept- I started trying out Asian beauty at the very end of 2023 and found a lot of brands I really, really like. I definitely am still interested in the Dose of Colors eye stick, and I also have Fractual Freesia and need to use that more as well. I haven't been excited by makeup for a couple years, but I think when I started to check out Asian beauty brands, I started finding products/techniques/approaches that were refreshing and different from how we do makeup in the U.S. Also, I now want the spectral shine balm from Phytosurgence- I've had my eye on it for a bit, but wasn't quite sure about it.
This eye look! I need to put on Phyto's Lunar Lightwave more often! I've used Divine Daylight as all-over face "enhancer" (I guess) instead of foundation, and I think it looked wonderful. Alas, my makeup usage has been VERY minimal lately (unless I can apply with my fingees) because ALLLLL my brushes need a deep clean which I've been putting off...and off...and off.
@@hautemesstom I love it. Ive been using it the way you demonstrated and Im so glad you did that cuz I almost got rid of it. It makes my skin look filtered😊
By the way, could you maybe talk a little more about the Spectral Shine? Like if you ever wanted to do a short that’s be awesome. But I’d love to know your thoughts more in depth. I bought mine last year and sometimes I feel like I can get it to work and others times I can’t. I can’t get it to work consistently. I saw you use a firm brush-maybe that’s the secret? The best way to see an effect of blurring for me is using my fingers but that takes forever because of the consistency of the product. I bought the brush that goes with it but it feels really fluffy (especially in comparison to the Sonia G one you said you use). Maybe I should switch brushes…. 🤔
I’m still getting acquainted with it myself. I think this is the first application video I’ve filmed since having it back. I don’t really feel like an expert in it yet but the application I did today is that works best for me but everyone seemingly uses it differently.
@@hautemesstom Thank you! I want to love this product. Because when I use it with my fingers it works really well and is amazing-it’s just not easy to use it that way. I will try a denser brush!
I bought Space Cowboy back in 2014/2015 where I was all about colourful shades. I was so intrigued by the beige/taupe base I have never seen anything like it at the time. It got hard panned so not the easiest to use.
The Patrick Ta doesn't look great in the promo pictures and that's a red flag for me. I did get Victoria Beckham and Westman Atelier concealers, not that I have to defend purchases but I haven't bought concealers in over a year and those two look very different, so I bought them for science. What's your shade in the Fara Hadid cream product? I'm so curious to try it.
@@hautemesstom Thank you, then I'm probably Creme. The tab is open and I'm just leaving it there. It's one of those "Do I need it? No, the WA is more or less the same formula and I've repurchased it since 2020 over the years. But do I want it yes." I'll see and I'll report back if my brain remembers.
That phytosurgence product looked so good, I'm a big blurring fan too. I decided not to buy Natasha Denona after she declared her support for the genocide. Nope.

Thank you for the breakdown of the Phytosurgence! I have it too and was using it as a highlighter and going what? Now I’m going to try it this way.
I hope it works out for you! I think it's a product that requirs a bit of playing around with to figure out how it works best for you!
You got me hooked on Fractal Freesia years ago. I have one open, one stored. I'm so glad i nabbed a 2nd one before it was discontinued.❤
I don’t think they discontinued fractal freesia!
Fractal Freesia is still on the site 😊

I love this kind of look too and have found a couple of K beauty shadows I love
I’ve been eyeing up the Nomad Ghost Town restock 👀👀

The Gucci Highlighter is speaking to me but for now I'm trying to make my glow lust be it.
Slay!

I had cosmic in the old packaging. It hardpanned on me but I always used it with my fingers. It is hard pressed tho!
“tomorrow’s labor day, so woohoo or whatever” how i feel every year teaching at a school that doesn’t take labor day off 🤣

17:48 but is it warm?
It’s fashion

Let's also not forget that Natasha Denona personally benefits from the oppression of the Palestinians.
