I love this video guys! At least almost as much as your IRs lol! :) The video I was waiting for, very interesting the whole process of the piece written by Federico! Jens you are da man! Thanks for the video!
Really great to see Jens use these IR’s and see his approach. I could definitely see myself using some of these IR’s on the upcoming EP!! Seriously great tones right out the box, totally upgraded my amp sim game tenfold.🔥🔥🔥
Amazing work Jens! That JST ToneForge J. Loomis is a beast. And I still must try your IR packs, been watching and reading a lot of great stuff about them.
Very insightful walkthrough, Jens. Can you share what's your approach with the Soothe plug-in on distorted guitars? I see it in your guitar master busses but it was not mentioned in the video.
If you are using my IRs, you will not need Soothe. Otherwise, it's a wonderful but very dangerous tool. It can help rescue guitars but push it too far, and it will take away all excitement faster than you know it.
Are the IRs just put in after the amp sim in the insert chain? And since the cabs are turned off, that catches the amp sim and runs it through the IRs next?
Impulse responses are meant for the cabinet section. Most plugins let you load a custom IR there. If you are new to impulse responses, we have created a series of videos that serve as an introduction: ruclips.net/video/Vnimx2jvxus/видео.html
Thank you for this very informative video! Do you ever feel the need to boost the high frequences (8kHz for example) when using guitar amp sims? Specially with Rhythm Guitars, I struggle getting that air without adding an SSL channel strip or some "analog" distortion plugin.
With amp sims you are eq'ing IRs and that will not be as easy as eq'ing an actual cab before the Analog to Digital conversion. That's why our IRs have processing baked in. But yes, most of the IRs and amp sims on the market need some help to poke through and a gentle high shelf can definitely help.
'Leads And Cleans' is a separate pack that compliments Rhtythm. We did release a free update to the Rhythm pack a few months ago adding new IRs and documentation. Look for your original purchase email to re-download or shoot us an email to hi@bogrendigital.com if you would like us to re-send it.
@@Bogren.Digital Sorted the updated, loved the Tool IR (or whatever it was called) but thank you prompt for the reply. I'll have to grab the drum samples at some point.
Both are written by the same person but obviously Libra has more fancy features. NadIR is great, just watch out for the hi/lo pass filters and start with them turned off.
This is first time i hear Friedman soloing that resemble in tone(not playing)less then Friedman. Maybe its cause of software emulation boxy nature, maybe amp choice, have no clue. Otherwise it all sounds extremely well balanced and professional, to me maybe is just my imagination, slight blanket on some frequencies on guitar sound, not lead, overall all guitar parts. Blame the nature of vsts`s for that. Nevertheless I enjoyed a lot seeing that if you know what you are doing, small amount of post processing is actually needed to make it sound great. By the way i purchased your ir`s. Kind regard. \m/

That's some incredible tones right there. Jens Bogren rules.
Cheers, Daniel! Marty never disappoints!
@@Bogren.Digital he always delivers. And you certainly do. It’s crushing.
Love using that amp and your impulses
And we love watching your videos that feature them. Thank you, Gio!

I've just decided to go digital and have a lot of research to do, but this has already helped me immensely!. Great vid!.
That’s great to hear! Rock on! \m/

Owwwww what another amazing video! 😍🤘🏻🔥
Thank you, Raphael :)
dang that tone and playing Marty known for is instantly recognizable.

Feel like he needs a permanent channel with Khole. Top notch!
Your IR's ar my go-to's for sure! Just wondering what the bass tone for this song was done with?
Thanks! The bass was programmed by Federico Ascari who wrote this track. I believe he used Impact Works Nuclear Bass.

@@Bogren.Digital Makes complete sense 😁 Thank you very much for your answer. Your IRs do help me a lot 💚🤘
@@Bogren.Digital how did you process them before the AD conversion, and/or what piece of analog equipment did you use for that ?
So how does one grab this update? Can we just redwonload if we've already purchased rhythms?

What's that song? I can't find it anywhere.
This is a song that was written for us by Federico Ascari (www.youtube.com/@FedericoAscariAudio) and features Marty Friedman and Krimh.
Jeeez how did I miss this. Guess I was busy with your fart samples. Awesome video!
Fart you very much!
Not much could make Marty sound bad tho.
The guys a beast.
