Another quite big project, took me quite a bit to make because of how non-linear the stages are in this mod (and those tedious water levels and some camera locks.). I know a lot of people love to see SMS runs, so I think this one will satisfy. In my opinion this run greatly showcases what SMS is capable of in different types of stages, and that even in vertical levels he can manage to find a way out to complete the stage as quickly as possible.

Seeing SMS just throw a single haymaker punch every boss fight is hilarious to me.
It really looks like Eggman's just minding his own business when suddenly this yellow guy breaks into his house, punches him out the window, and promptly flings himself out the back door to continue the speedrun.

Ahem...niiiice! SMS absolutely tears through these old-school environments. The sudden god-leap at 6:49 caught me off-guard since slopes are so rare here. I like to imagine at 6:59 SMS is already speedrunning the next level while the game is wasting time with celebrations, you can still hear the sounds. The next level is so muffled by it's colormap I can't even tell what's going on at those speeds.
8:16 THIS stage, though...has no colormaps and becomes a beautiful moment of absolute WTF-ery. I wonder how hard it is to keep up with those speeds in TAS. SMS probably looks like he's teleporting.
It's funny, the way you infiltrated the pyramid is exactly how I imagined Sonic would actually do it. Creators love casually throwing around terms like "speed of sound" and then not follow through on it or even realize WHAT the hell they just said. I guess it wouldn't sound as exciting if they said "Sonic is a blue hedgehog who can run over a hundred kilometres an hour!"
the biggest challenge when TASing with SMS is when you reach around 1000 U/F (which happened when spamdashing towards the ramp at 8:20), and probably the hardest stage to complete was Forgotten Grove Zone Act 2, trying not to hit anything whilst going up with Ring Burst (at 7:34) was really hard, but I managed to figure out how to not hit anything, saving time.

I still have no idea how you're supposed to realistically pull off the Aerial Haymaker. Shit just doesn't work for me and I don't know why.

it’s almost like this character was designed to tas… and not actually people, because I personally think this mod sucks, but this tas is so fun to watch. amazing job!
