My mom passed 5 years ago and her birthday was on the 13th…. I’m thankful for every day I had with her. She lives on as well. Thanks for your comment ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I know that Sierra or Chase will never see this but in I have been questioning if life is worth living or not and sitting here in my thoughts these songs have always brought me joy. I could get lost listening to this music for hours. if this was the last thing I could hear it would bring me a moment of pure joy in my last moments.
Hang on man. The sun always comes up, no matter how long the night is. As someone who struggled with depression all of his life, trust me, the journey is the destination. Sometimes it's hard, and sometimes it's bloody awful. But in the end it's always worth it. Please look after yourself. Love x.
I love that the songs you choose to cover have deep, thought-provoking lyrics. I like a lot of artists on here, but I don't always like the music they cover. Your voice adds a beautiful depth and dimension to the stories you're choosing to tell. Thank you for that.
This is one of my most favourite songs that reminds me of my Mum. She died almost two years ago and it was you and Chase that got me through her death. Thank you 🤍
I discovered Peter Gabriel in 1981. Since then he has remained a favorite artist of mine. Solsbury Hill, a perfectly constructed piece, never grows stale; it always makes me feel warm and it brings back fond memories. Your rendition is beautiful... and the video work is, as always, gorgeous. Thank you for this wonderful gift and a wonderful start to a Monday.
So, my bride and I were on a road trip, she told me that I should maybe download some music for the trip, I shared your music with her, she loved it and we listened to the play list a few times! Just so you know, you touch people you’ll never ever know, in places you’ve never heard of, and you bring joy to those who have found you! Beautiful, gifted and talented! My very best to you from Canada, and from my bride of 35 years too :)
Sierra, I listed to "Going to California" and now this. There's something unique, edgless and infinite about your voice. It reminds me of this excerpt from the Tao Te Ching: Close its doors, Dull its edges, Untie its tangles, Soften its light, Submerge its turmoil, - This is the Mystic Unity.
This has to be one of my favorite songs you've covered, the music, the vocals, the fact that you made Chase run behind you as you frolicked through a field braving ticks and chiggers for the ✨ aesthetic ✨, it's all perfect 😁
Sierra you always imbue a soft and serene quality to your covers, and that in no small part is due to your soothing voice. What you lack for in volume of uploads you make up for in sheer quality of interpretations of these classics.. Thank you for sharing your immense talent with us.
I don't have the words to describe this cover. The personal touch you put on this leaves me with more feelings than words can describe. Thank you for that. ❤
@SierraEagleson Sitting here on my beloved Maui with so much devastation and horror from the fires - my heart needed this. I'm too exhausted to find better words so just thank you for all this beauty. Mahalo from Maui.
I needed this today. It was no accident I stumbled upon a Led Zep cover that led me to this. I'm working away from the first family I've known. A daughter. A wife. I feel so out of place not being with them. I pray my life takes me out of thus machinery and I can be with my family to grow together. Thank you.
Beautiful Sierra! Poetic, wild, intimate, honest. Thanks for the embedded lyrics, I can relate so much right now... thanks to Chase for capturing your essence with much delicacy. Don't know what you're made of, but like many others here, I feel like I belong to the world when I listen to your voice. Thanks for being here.
To me, Gabriel's version relied a great deal on the percussion for it's identity...This version gave it a distinctly different vibe, but didn't change it's soul...Really nicely done..Thanks very much for sharing...
The first time I heard this song was when I was introduced to Peter Gabriel via Plays Live in the 80s. I clearly fell in love with the song and his music. Your interpretation of this song is wonderful Sierra! Thank you!
I am always so, so happy when I see you upload. Your singing is honestly something I look forward to all the time. Thanks again for another beautiful cover.
What a stunning cover of an amazing song. Solsbury Hill has such a feel to it to begin with...but you've made it even more introspective, with a beautiful quiet clarity. You've really made it your own. I think Peter would be proud. ❤
Wow. That is so beautiful! I think it moved me so much because I just was able, for the first time in my adult life, to find the profound sense of home I'd been searching for my whole life. It's such an amazing feeling. It changes everything.
Your versions bring such a tranquil and peaceful take to each song and your voice is so beautiful which makes each song new !!! So soothing to the soul !!!!!
I've been waiting patiently for you to release anything. I always love hearing your voice...angelic. keep at it girl we're listening from the Arkansas hills
I've just found my way to your music and I'm so glad I did. I love the richness of your voice and your beautiful arrangements. What a wonderful version of this song.
Your songs and covers are so special, sublime, sweet but deep and emotional, even mysterious. When I hear them and see you I think you are how you interpret them. I love them.
I often wonder if YT artists take the time to read these comments especially once they have 1000s of followers? I’m a new- found fan. Sierra’s voice is so serious or centered yet with an airy sweetness. Very signature to my musician’s ears. And Chase’s harmony on this was so spot on. Really brought a beautiful classic that I haven’t listened to in years back to life. Great choice.
Thank you for this video. The song is a favorite of mine from my teenhood, but I really appreciate that you placed the lyrics, for those of us who really were missing the completeness of what the song was about. I appreciate your voice, as it also echos things within my Soul that are incomplete and calling out for that missing thing to please come find me. Sometimes there are those of us who get left behind. Thank you for taking a step forward for us. You are beautiful, and brave. Your voice cradles us (probably most of us here) within a lull of present comfort, even as it encourages us to understand and let go of the past, however it chains us... allowing our *eerily comfortable* bonds to break, expelling us out into a realm of unimagined possibilities.
The lyrics often are difficult to parse, until you've heard Peter explain them. It's a pretty straightforward story of the time when he was contemplating quitting Genesis. He had a somewhat 'spiritual' experience (the eagle, etc), basically telling him that quitting is what he ought to do. But he kept it to himself ('my friends would think I was a nut'), and struggled for a bit longer. I think there were some upcoming opportunities for the band - either more recording or a tour or something, but he was ready to walk away (open doors would soon be shut). And then he found a way to tell them, and to 'cut the connections'. And he moved on, and "came home" to his solo career. So - while the lyrics tell a story of a real time and happening, they also show the importance of quitting something when it isn't right for you anymore - of making the cut, so you can come home to yourself, and to what's truly right for you.
My mum used to dance to this like she really felt it. She passed in December. It's her birthday in 3 days. I'm so glad I found this... she lives on 💖
Sorry for your loss. ❤️
That’s a beautiful image. Thanks.
My mom passed 5 years ago and her birthday was on the 13th…. I’m thankful for every day I had with her. She lives on as well. Thanks for your comment ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy HEAVENLY 🎉 To Your Sainted mum ☮️❤️💪🏼🎼
my mom just passed on February 26th
God's perfect timing brought me here
❤
Fifty nine year old die hard Gabriel Fan here. That was brilliant.
Yes… I agree.
Ditto!!
70 year old die hard Peter Gabriel fan here. A brilliant cover of one of my all time favourite songs.
Covering Peter Gabriel is like covering Ann Wilson. You have to be really good to do the original any justice at all. Justice has been served.
FACT!
I know that Sierra or Chase will never see this but in I have been questioning if life is worth living or not and sitting here in my thoughts these songs have always brought me joy. You have no idea how much of a positive impact your music has had on my mental health
Amen...!
Your voice is otherworldly. Thank you for sharing!
Automatic thumbs up, before even listening.
I just love her voice, no idea who she is but sings like an Angel.
I can't get enough of your music. Every cover you do is so uniquely your own!
The same could be said for you, my liege. Thank you!
A Sierra/Bardcore colab would be epic!
I love that the songs you choose to cover have deep, thought-provoking lyrics. I like a lot of artists on here, but I don't always like the music they cover. Your voice adds a beautiful depth and dimension to the stories you're choosing to tell. Thank you for that.

I'm always at a loss for words at how deeply the beauty if Sierra's voice and presence effects me. - I am so thankful for her gift to the world.
Deep, as in full of meaning
Most underrated artist of all time!!! You're amazing. Thanks for all your work and songs!! 👍✌️
This has to be one of my favorite songs you've covered, the music, the vocals, the fact that you made Chase run behind you as you frolicked through a field braving ticks and chiggers for the ✨ aesthetic ✨, it's all perfect 😁
My favorite female vocalist. ❤️🌹🎶😊
Mine too. By a long-shot.

I'd love a version of this with Sierra and Chase playing/singing for the camera. Amazing voices, especially together.
I’d love to see it too.
Beautiful rendition Sierra!

That downhome folk voice always puts me at ease.
sweet Sierra... doing well in the first 3 hours! I love the way your voices blend. . . . .
Nothing like covering the master Peter Gabriel. Lovely. You should be proud. Again, brunch on the Mornington Peninsula, Australia. No place like it.,

That was incredible! Congrats!
Brilliant cover
Always a good day when Sierra posts a new video. :) Great work, as always. I might be your biggest fan

Beautiful, voice and arrangement, bless you keep crushing 🙏😇♥️
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you 🙏🏼 this song is a favorite of mine. You did a beautiful job 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Love your voice 👍
Wow - I didn't understand the lyrics to this song until I heard cover. Thank you for the story of someone becoming Awake through nature. 🙏
The lyrics often are difficult to parse, until you've heard Peter explain them. It's a pretty straightforward story of the time when he was contemplating quitting Genesis. He had a somewhat 'spiritual' experience (the eagle, etc), basically telling him that quitting is what he ought to do. Awesome great feeling
So glad to see you back on here! This song is one of those that I always forget how much I love until I'm listening to it. Your version is gorgeous
Linda e incrível como sempre!
