Listening to latest update from Ofgem???. Ofgen is not negotiation on customer only fill their pockets. It's absolutely harmshouse going on. Customers and energy suppliers to communicate properly if customers can't afford to pay their bills monthly do right thing and let the energy company know to have a prepayment meter install to their home, if can't pay their bills it is not the other customers' responsibility to cover that unpaid bill. I agree with you 💯💯🔊😤😥🤬😡🤷👀

At what point in time do we stop supporting the energy companies and start receiving some support from Ofgem???

At this rate, Ofgem needs buggering off and a new publicly run board put in place that takes no money from the suppliers as that causes a conflict of interest.
No one is saying that cant make profit, only they pay for their mistakes and wrong doings.

The Bad Debt Allowance should be completely abolished by OFGEM. These companies are multi billionaires and can afford to get it back from the rest of us.

All this (and previous issues) illustrates that the energy market is broken, and that free market approaches cannot be trusted, unless robustly regulated. Ofgem appears incapable of achieving this. Whilst a major and probably costly change, it is time for services fundamental to the nation's wellbeing, to be returned to public ownership.
