when i thought the problem was fixed, it came back, one thing i managed to find it consistent is high heat fixes the phone, temporarily... when its exposed to high temps just restart the phone no need for clearing cache or anything
The problem is that asus once it pushed the A14 update they dropped support before they could make the build stable 85% of rog phone 6 users suffer from either camera or boot loop. Its such a shame because the phone ain't cheap and for such a thing to happen makes you think twice before buying a newer model especially when the experience was not pleasant to begin with.
@DanZan usable camera wise a headache whenever it acts up i need to restart my phone otherwise its reversed selfie camera doesn't show up quality is severely reduced until i restart it. Other than that I don't see any major problems no bootloop no crashing but it sometimes acts up on the main home page but its not a big deal i close my phone open it type the password it gets back to normal other than the mentioned nothing special
I stopped buying Asus rog products since buying rog 5 and 6 always has problems. open the camera then blank and restart continuously. the button for the selfie camera does not appear.
Same here, my ROG 6 front camera button is missing and the quality of the picture is not great and this has been like couple of months now. I think asus has no answer for this problem. I already did hard reset and still the same. Front camera button missisng and the quality of the picture is bad. I think I'm not gonna buy ROG phones anymore.
It's a hardware design problem, camera flex damages to easy, if you get bootloop, hit the back near the cameras of the phone with your hand palm 2 to 3 times and should fix the bootloop, for the camera is the same thing but go to app settings, force stop and then do the hand palm thing and open the app again.

This time ive found the problem 😂 took me days because the fix was kinda random and the problem occures at random so i needed to look for something to be consistent that's related to the issue, the next video will be me yapping most likely but if so all thats left is for Asus to just solve the problem since i managed to diagnose it which took too long " its easy just time consuming and to manufacturer time is money " so yeah if asus take action most likely that would fix our phone assuming all of us with camera issues have the same problem unless its just me who is a special case UPDATE: Seems the reason was indeed software based unlike what others claimed it to be hardware related, the solution was simple " for me at least " backup all the important data, then perform hard reset shut the phone down and hold the volume with power button to enter recovery mode and wipe your data, there was also something else in there I recall it's for testing graphics or something I clicked on it gave me an error and it also performed a reset for whatever that is, the phone is now brand new! Now here is the catch minimize downloads from outside sources even from Google play only install essentials like VLC social medias delivery apps etc but no 3rd party camera or recording type apps. And again minimize installation and modification, since then the phone has stayed in perfect working condition for 3 days straight...
In my case, after i updated to android 14 my selfie camera button switch disappear.. and when you take picture, the main lens 50mpxel not available, it using the ultrawide lens.. poor asus
The boot loop stopped when I got the update for 14 then (I can't remember when maybe a month ago) a new system update came in n and guess what it's back in full swing, my phone stays in the loop for midnight til about 7 to 8 am now I'm so mad
@neuro1996 it's cool lol still goes through the boot loop but I figured out you go to safe mode (power button and up volume button) and just constantly clicking start phone and it starts up usually around the 3rd or 4th time but that's just lately to be honest my longest boot loop was 3 days
I fixed mine after manually upgrading from A12(Chinese Version) to A13(US Version) in the first week after the upgrade the camera issue and boot loop still happens but after like 2 weeks or a month it fixed itself goodthing I tried doing some updates before thinking of buying a new phone . I was able to get 5g T-mobile after the update I was not able to get 5g because I have tencent version and tencent firmware but decided to manually update it to A13 U.S versionWW
I did mention what works for me may not work for others, and surely enough even the step in this video doesn't work for me anymore what i do is close all the apps and empty the phone cache, and empty the camera cache as well and then restart that temporarily works for nos
funny enough this phone is cursed, the problem is inconsistent and too random, many things can affect it from software to hardware changes, and all of a sudden my phone problem disappeared completely, the last things i remember that i did for this to happen was Hardcore Reset, completely wiped it clean as much as possible, then after that the issue lessened, but still appears, i realized that temp have a role when restarting doesnt fix the issue i either freeze or overheat the phone and the camera works after for awhile, rn since the last freezing session it hasnt gone bad so yey!
Hi! How could you update your cell phone? I also have the asus ROG 6 but when I try to update it manually it tells me that there was an error :( I stayed on Android 12, I don't get updates
I have to update it manually but when I download the latest version (Android 14) after doing the entire download process and restarting it it says "update error" D:
Im unfamiliar with that issue as it never happened to me neither can recreate it on my device. The phone function as intended except for that camera part as of now, i highly suggest you contact asus for assistance or if the device is under warranty to have them check it out for you
@@FrostyRush-rj3vt actually stay at A12 dont update it. you will encounter more problems if you do happen to update it, if it works just fine let it be don't do anything that could potentially ruin it for you
Apparently just restarting does the trick no need for any kind of weird steps so far the camera functions stays longer almost a day so it's not as annoying as before but still 😕
@I_AM_Epsilon well not all phones are the same boot loop usually indicates corrupted system files its unable to load the OS image, if so try maybe reinstalling firmware note: this is a bit tricky unless your good at this kind of stuff or else let someone else do it for you, because you could brick the phone permanently if you made a big mistake

dont buy it, mine was about 2 years old but after android 13 it started to bootloop after camera was turned on, it also started to bootloop when you shut if off and turned it on or restarted, customer support said it was a hardware issue and said it would cost680 dollars to fix, i am switching to samsung now, asus really disappointed me in the past 5 years

Download something called ampere and open it and see the battery drain for you and let me know what it says
Note: clear your phone cache and perform a restart before doing that

Iam stay on A13 but i have information to update on A14 and the question A14 more stabil or not ? Better with A13 or A14 ?

Go to apps, and clear cache for camera, gallery and whatsapp..then restart..I usually do this

Force shutdown by holding volume down and the power button together will restore it temporarily
