خداوند کا عہد بزرگ ابرہام کے ساتھ( Genesis 15:12-17 )
12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
In this message we will learn that God made a covenant with Abraham and God's relationship with Abraham is surprising because Abraham was called God's friend and we will see the picture of this covenant. This is a unique covenant that God made with his servant Abraham. This type of covenant has never been made with anyone and we will learn from it
This covenant is unique because what happened on Mount Calvary, where the Lord Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of all mankind, the covenant that God made with his servant Abraham was fulfilled on Mount Calvary.
God had made this promise to Abraham, he had made a covenant that all the nations of the world would be blessed through you, and the blessing that God has now made a covenant with us when Jesus Christ died on the cross and gave atonement, faith in Jesus Christ. The blessing that was promised because of bringing is the blessing of salvation from sins and all those who believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ are included in this blessing and they are saved In the era of the Old Testament, when a covenant was made, the covenant was made between two people, but this covenant that God made with Abraham is unique because God sent a deep sleep to Abraham while making this covenant The way of making a covenant was that the two parties would cut an animal in front of the people and both parties would pass through it and they would make a covenant and confess that if we are not with each other. If they will be loyal, we will be cut and destroyed just as these animals are cut, but we will not break our promise.
And the responsibility of this covenant was on both parties, but in the covenant that God made with his servant Abraham, God made Abraham sleep deeply and there a burning torch came out of the oven, which passed between them and actually This covenant was made by God the Father with his Son Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus Christ is responsible for this covenant, because man is weak, he could not keep this covenant, therefore God himself became responsible for this covenant. It went and was fulfilled on the cross And Christ the Lord was buried dead on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day, and whoever believes in Jesus Christ joins this covenant, he receives the blessing of salvation, and surely we stand in this covenant. Stay faithful and grow in God's presence
