    Great video. Do you know if this bag works well for a road bike as well? Looking to get a bag that will work well for road and MTB.

      It should work fine. I haven't tried it but there is ample room for drop bars inside.

    Thanks for you video, I want to buy one, Pro or XL ,which one is better for my 29er MTB bikes with 2.5' wide tires?

      I used the pro with 29x2.4. It was tight but once the wheels were in it felt like it could fit a bit larger.

    Great job.. I flying my bike the first time... I opting for bike flights though and sending it to a LBS at unbound... I working it this year so I can skip the lottery next year ...but in my downtime I going to be riding to get some route recon in 😎

      Shipping a bike is crazy expensive these days but flying with a bike is such a hassle. Always a tough call. Good strategy on Unbound. 👏

    Great review! I use a Thule Pack n Pedal hard case with integrated work stand. It's great protection and easy to travel with, but heavier and doesn't break down to store like yours does.
    A video suggestion; what bike pump do you carry on long bike trips? Do you also carry CO2? Have you reseated a tubeless bead on the trail with CO2?

      It's been a long time since I had a hard case. I have nowhere to store one these days.

    I like my Evoc Travel Case Pro very much, but if i had seen the smaller, lighter, less costly Post Carry Transfer case, might have gone that way, although the PCT case requires more disassembly.

      That's the dilema. I like the Oury case for its size, but again, you really have to break down the bike. The Evoc is so quick and easy.

    Can this bag double as in use for gravel bike as well as mtb?

    • @TroyOnTrails

      Absolutely. It'll work with road, mtb, and gravel.

    Thanks for the overview. Would have been helpful to show which way the wheels go into the bag! Does the brake disc face the outside or inside of the bag? I see the flat inserts on the outside of the wheel covers, but they don't seem rigid enough to prevent the disc from being damaged.
    Also, you mentioned putting the axel back into the wheels. But it seems like it sticks outward too much.

      The rotors face out. They're is protection that surrounds the rotors and keeps them pretty safe. As for your axles, they are used to mount your bike to the bag's internal frame.

    Thanks for posting this helpful video. The sort of rails that you mount the bike on, do they have a maximum wheelbase? How adjustable are they?

    • @TroyOnTrails
      @TroyOnTrails  7 месяцев назад

      I don't know the numbers for the max wheelbase. But yes. There is a limit. My bike comes pretty close to that limit. I think they're is ~2 inches to spare. The plastic bits that your bike mounts to can move back and forth fairly easily. Not so easily that they move on their own but you don't need to wrestle with it either.

      Hi @jeffsaraiva7099 The maximum wheelbase for this appears to be 112cm.

    • @TroyOnTrails
      @TroyOnTrails  6 месяцев назад

      @@stuartvh4562 My biggest bike has a wheelbase of 1237mm. And there was still a little room for more (~30mm).

      @TroyOnTrails that's good to hear as it means my bike will fit! I'll let the store know that the number stated is incorrect. Thanks!

    Does it fit in the back seat of a sedan or trunk?

    • @TroyOnTrails
      @TroyOnTrails  7 месяцев назад

      I doubt it. You could possibly have it stick out of your trunk and tie it down. It fills the back of my mid-size SUV.
