I love both. MW 2012 just needed a livery editor and things like a radar disrupter and the like to help shake the fuzz. Unbound is really a sequel to 2012 and I'm all for it. Both have the burnout DNA with licensed cars and cops.
unbound needs to bring up the car audio system from nfsmw12. in mw12 cars sound very natural and pleasing to hear. especially aventador and LFA. only turbo flutters are a bit over the top. edit: even nfs rivals with frostbite engine still uses car audio system from nfsmw '12, and similar camera movements too.
MW 2012 It could perfectly be one of the best modern NFS games, only the development time that Criterion had did not allow them to finish what they were looking for, leaving a game with a huge but untapped potential.

Fun fact: In NFS MW12, the roadblocks seeing while you escape you makes no sense as if you look closely they have no drivers. Also the cops in Unbound know that you're a criminal, they're just too lazy to arrest you if you didn't commit a crime. You can tell by their dialogues, they clearly they know you're a street racer who has outrun them many times but they won't chase you unless you damage their cars.

When 2012 MW came out it was one considered of the worst NFS games ever. The fact you couldn't own or customize cars killed it.
