@『 Anime Off Vocal 』 Clearly you've not seen a lot of anime. There's a SHIT TON of sappy, sentimental openings. In fact, quite a lot of them are much better than Red Swan. E.g. Rain from FMA Brotherhood. It has a proper melody and everything. And it actually feels like it's connected to the story. What does Red Swan have to do with the Uprising arc? The Uprising arc is about political intrigue, the secrets of the royal family, the works. Childhood flashbacks are a relatively small part of this arc, ESPECIALLY in the anime where they rushed through 5 volumes of the manga in 10 episodes just because of the flawed notion of this arc having poor pacing. When that was only the case in the monthly manga. Even the author bought into that unfortunate and untrue criticism When you binge-read it, the pacing is just fine. And it also would've been fine in an anime with a weekly release schedule.
@『 Anime Off Vocal 』 You said, openings, which seemed to imply multiple openings from multiple shows. Had you said "...what the opening normally is," there would've been no confusion. Personally I would also use "unfitting" and "out of the left field" to describe it. It's a poor match for the Uprising arc. It would actually fit the first half of the first arc of Season 4 better, to be frank.
Attack on Titan is phenomenal it has a great story, mystery element, characterization and every season gets better and better. No other anime I would recommend more than Attack on Titan especially for reactions!
There are most definitely some serious Reaction-worthy moments in this show. And not just out of left field main character deaths, actual genuine mouth ajar plot twists.
Attack on titan in my opinion is one of the best anime ever, great story, great characters and it's full of plot twists. It's a must watch anime. Great reaction btw, just subscribed
For me at least the main appeal of the show is that it seems like one thing first, but is actually another. Like it starts like a typical shonen story of the good guys V.S the oppressive monsters. And it does the well, but just under the surface it's much darker and real than you think. You start watching it for the action, but stay for the story and characters.
@lil crispy it absolutely fits with the theme of season 3 part 1, also AOT isn't all about action and killing titans, it has many well developed characters with great backstories and a lot of mystery, and honestly, after what was revealed in S3, I can't see them using the same type of epic opening for season 4.

As a person who typically enjoys character dramas and more toned down, deep fiction, I really wasn't expecting enjoying this series as much as I do. I really liked how it actually was realistic in how you need to do things. If you are attacked then you need to defend yourself or you'll get killed. If you fail then you will be criticized and made fun of, even if you had absolutely no chance at succeeding. With how soft many anime are nowadays I did like that AOT had some of that harshness that many 90's anime had.

Girls in dodgeball: Don’t hit me Emma Boy in dodgeball: 6:15 (Got an idea from an comment don’t know where I got it but shoutout to the person who got the idea for this)
I like AoT waaay better than MHA, i like both but AOT seems like it comes up with it's own shit A LOT more, while MHA is pretty cliche, MHA is still enjoyable to watch tho, love the super hero concept.
i think what AOT does exceptionally well is keep the flow of story natural and logical, while MHA often times (at least how it feels to me) creates conflict just for the purpose of having conflict in the show. It starts to get noticeable in the 3rd season but for me it really gets bad in the arc after the next one.
@@bosadam9491 I see where you're coming from but it's actually shonen. It's actually more about the main character than the viewer/reader/fan base. We start with 15 year old Eren so that's why it's shonen.
I don’t see why anyone would compare the two. Except for the action part they are completely different genres imo. MHA is all about that positivity, after watching an episode I feel all pumped up and inspired like I could lift up a car with my pinky finger if I wanted to lol. AoT is pretty damn dark and shakes me up. The story blows my mind tbh and the storytelling itself is genius, I’m on the edge of my seat each episode and constantly thinking about what could happen next etc. Love both shows a lot.
the reason for the second to last opening being so different is because while the the other arcs and seasons deal with whats happening now, this arc deals with past sins and kind of the past of the characters in the show. "Like a fallen angel" as it says. Its still a great song and really fits the mood of the arc. all the openings are amazing.
Yes! Someone who didn't shit on Gloria (op 2) P.s. I said this on another reation video on the openings. AOT disguises itself as a action oriented anime, but then smacks you with a lot of intrigued and overall well developing plot.
I love so fricking much the concept of you reacting to the op's analysing them and after watch the show It's interesting to see what people understand and figure out from the openings when they didn't see any episodes yet
The whole premise of attack on titan is that the world is a mystery and we basically follow the characters trying to understand it to survive. The animation and soundtrack are top tier, the premise is crazy, it hooks your attention (seriously that fist episode left me screaming) and it's incredible. Seriously watch it I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a classic.
If you honestly have the willpower to sit down, and not binge watch the entirety of Attack on Titan in one go, then you have the willpower to do anything
Opening 4 caught everyone offguard and honestly it was my fav opening coz it fits the show as a whole as the war was only a small part of the theme this shows present, and more about human nature and decisions and deal with modern society problems manga readers knows better
kaiyo well I’m German and I don’t give a damn that the pronunciation is a bit funny. If you pay attention it’s possible to understand it lol. I think it’s really cool and fits the songs!
You should definitely give it a chance, its closing in on another season so youve got that coming in the near future as well. Also loved the vibe of this video over all, first video i see from you and it was great :)

First video i saw of you directly activated the bell, i think you are the smallest american youtuber of my abbos because i'm a german and we dont find easily smaller youtubers. by se way your voice is fantastinobel. Yes Yes like SS
I like how I heard someone else describe the openings. Each opening reflects the tone and mood of the seasons in general. The fourth one stands out a lot because the questions the series never stops asking turns towards the characters themselves, and the season is more about looking within versus looking out. I can't really say more without giving spoilers though. The show is worth the watch, and the storytelling is top-notch stuff.
Even if it isn’t showing and everything seems happy, there’s always such a dark and grotesque undertone or hidden meaning to a scene and thats one of the reasons tHIS SHOW DESERVES THE HYPE IT GETS

@AJ Rich also if i may add, in case you really wanna react to the show, then please for the sake of all gods, don't you dare watching the dubbed version and rather stick to the subbed one instead since the JP voice actors did a hell of a good job for this anime xD
@@ajrich aye, subbed is by far the best choice when it comes to Attack on Titan. You won't be disappointed since the reactions and emotions of the characters come through much more intense and natural/genuine than via the dubbed version.
@@ajrich honestly it's almost always better to watch subbed because the VA tends to be levels above the English dubs
AJ Rich yeah watch sub as the writer of the manga personally helped with the voice acting based on what the tone he wanted for the scene or character.
PC Principal I don’t believe that for every anime but definitely with Attack On Titan
Even as someone that enjoys dubs, I agree. I watch Attack On Titan in sub first, and dub after if I’m curious.
yes! Please react to this show! If you like dark shows you will love this! This has been one of the best years for anime if you ask me, with both Attack on Titan season 3 and JoJo's part 5 being insanely good.
He found the difference between Mindless Titans and Titan Shifters by just watching openings!!
Girls in dodgeball: Don’t hit me Emma

(Got an idea from an comment don’t know where I got it but shoutout to the person who got the idea for this)
I like AoT waaay better than MHA, i like both but AOT seems like it comes up with it's own shit A LOT more, while MHA is pretty cliche, MHA is still enjoyable to watch tho, love the super hero concept.
I agree. I enjoy both, but I can totally see why people do shit on MHA.
i think what AOT does exceptionally well is keep the flow of story natural and logical, while MHA often times (at least how it feels to me) creates conflict just for the purpose of having conflict in the show.
It starts to get noticeable in the 3rd season but for me it really gets bad in the arc after the next one.
They are not same AOT is seinen type of anime but MHA is shounen type of anime

"Did they came out from humans?"
"Is this from the future?"
"Maybe they are like descendants?"
Opening 4 is different but the same stuff is happening in the show fundamentally
All of the political stuff away from the titans

Yes! Someone who didn't shit on Gloria (op 2)
P.s. I said this on another reation video on the openings. AOT disguises itself as a action oriented anime, but then smacks you with a lot of intrigued and overall well developing plot.
I love so fricking much the concept of you reacting to the op's analysing them and after watch the show
It's interesting to see what people understand and figure out from the openings when they didn't see any episodes yet
The endings are good too especially number 3 it is so bizarre and unsettling
You should react to it the best show airing in 2019 hands down.

The first intro makes you think all the soldiers will just be so strong. But then you watch it and basically everyone is scared. Which makes sense..
Opening 4 caught everyone offguard and honestly it was my fav opening coz it fits the show as a whole as the war was only a small part of the theme this shows present, and more about human nature and decisions and deal with modern society problems manga readers knows better

Attack on titan has some of the best mindblowing music and songs. Simply majestic.
