Hiking in Sierra Nevada, Spain | SULAYR GR240 | Day 1

Day 1 of thehe SULAYR Trail (the "mountain of the sun", which is how the Arabs knew Sierra Nevada) is a long-distance circular route (GR-240), which over 300 km encircles the entire Sierra massif in 19 sections. Nevada through traditional and forest roads, between the peaks and towns. uniting a Natural Park and a National Park throughout two provinces, six regions and sixty municipalities.
I walked the entire route in 9 consecutive days, from June 13 to 21, 2024.
