Rotterdammers love to give nicknames to buildings, bridges and other landmarks in the city. You mentioned the Erasmusbridge (Erasmusbrug): The Swan - no, not 'bridge' added - (De Zwaan). At 1:14 and 1:42 - 1:45 to the left of the Cube Houses (Kubus woningen) you can see the grey building, nicknamed for rather obvious reasons, The Pencil (Het Potlood). At 5:32 - 5:39 the square Art Nouveau style building stands out. It was built in 1897 - 1898 and at the time was the tallest office building in Europe (43 meter / 141 ft high). Fortunately it survived the bombing by German airplanes on May 14, 1940. Its nickname is The White House (Het Witte Huis). At 5:19 - 5:30 the monument by Zadkine 'The Destroyed City' (De Verwoeste Stad) is a standing human figure with both hands aloft and head thrown back and a gaping hole in the chest, because 'the heart was bombed out of the city'. Its nickname became: John Hole (Jan Gat) in the true wry style of humor characteristic of Rotterdammers
I'm going to the Netherlands this may!! So glad I watched this video. I'm specifically staying in Rotterdam and I've read so many articles but everyone just keeps mentioning Amsterdam like no other part of NL exist (as wonderful as im sure it is, i want tips on a multitude of places!!). Or rather the majority of the article/video. This is going go be super useful in my adventures !!
I was in NL last month. I am so glad I was not in Amsterdam. I visited Rotterdam. Fantastic city. I went to the library and met some really nice, intelligent people. Just a wonderful day in a wonderful city. I will return. .... And I almost forgot: the women are beautiful.
There are actually many local breweries in Rotterdam, not just de Pelgrim. There is Brouwerij Noordt, Kaapse Brouwers, Stadshavenbrouwerij, Vet&Lazy, and many more.
If I were looking for adventure I don't think I'd go to Rotterdam. Although Cinema Culinair sounds like a neat idea. And a tour of the shipping port might be fun. No... I'm not feeling it.
_'also known as the Erasmusburg'_ lol... It's ErasmusBRUG , where Erasmus stands for well...the dude...and BRUG just means bridge. What the actual local name for the bridge is: The swan

I agree so many spots in the Netherlands to see!
You should go to Utrecht!! It’s basically Amsterdam, but smaller, quieter and WAY prettier. Also more historical than Rotterdam!
was there couple of yrs ago....loved every second of it....fantastic city
Underrated city for sure

What city do you like more?
Great content but that fast-paced annoying music, with your tin canned-sounding audio ruined the immersion.
Sorry

As a rotterdammer, now you have seen it. Don’t come, go to amsterdam. Thanks
