@@minniesmile5758 it totally depends on your level of understanding In my opinion u take any random class ncert n try reading it if it's clear to u then u can continue till 12th ncert but if u feel it's not clear n u r unable to understand then u can start from direct 6th standard U need not buy while experimenting this U can download it from the ncert app Then as soon as u know from which standard u need to study then u can finalize n buy books :)

Hi, usually its perceived that one year dedicated preparation would be sufficient, but almost half a year will be spend for a novice to learn static portions and revise it during which detailed current would be left out.. how to get out of this dilemma.

since 2021 is already almost over, I think it will be wise to give 1.5 years of thorough preparation. So you can start with the static portion as well, along with newspaper.

Ma'am however I have a little doubt. As for Mains paper I, UPSC mandates that a candidate must have a basic grip over an Indian language. Ma'am i have a studied French in my schooling days over hindi and my knowledge of hindi is very limited. Shall I still consider going for the civil services? I read that if you fail in paper I itself your rest of the answersheet will not be even be considered for evaluation and hence you will be disqualified. Your opinion will be immensely helpful 🙏 thank you

I am also going to give attmept in 2023. If you confused between vision and vajiram make sure 1 thing mam said that she joins vajiram coaching for GS so that's why she used . Bro , if I'll give lakhs of rupees to coaching then it is obvious that I'll read their material extensively bcoz I've to stick 1 resources. Then if it feels like content is missing then she'll for vision and add in their basic notes .
If I've to give attempt in 2023 then it didn't matter which edition material you'll take. You have to add some value in your basic notes whether it is from vision ,vajiram, Google, drishti, SansadTV, ALL INDIA RADIO, Forum ias CBP, MK YADAV SIR QEP, etc.etc.etc.

I would suggest you to read ncerts first if you're not clear about the basics
