Lol no. He usually sees nothing but cemented shoes anyway, glue is no stranger to him. The sidestitch is something he can't be bothered to do (neither would you be willing to pay) so you get those patched up with a slap on rubber sole and new heel top lifts.
@@zefdin101 Steve is no ordinary cobbler, he could go all the way to bespoke shoes if he wanted to still invest at his age. The mechanical skills are absolutely there. I for one just can't watch him work, his essential tremor makes the hair on my neck stand straight up, considering how he is shivering he is more magician than cobbler. 😁
