Hi Kat and RJ. Pretty there. I prefer the solitude with my dogs. In 17 years never had any creeps bother me yet other than when we were stranded 6 weeks at a truck stop for truck repairs. I just kept my door locked there. My dogs big and now medium size since my big black Jake boy is gone over the rainbow bridge waiting in my Heavenly mansion, bark at strangers and that seems to be enough to discourage the rotten apples. Have never really had any issues boondocking and away from towns. The fewer people the safer it is basically. Nice quiet boondocking at Kaibab summers until it cools down at Quartzsite, usually late in October. God bless you.

Way to go RJ, woot-woot❗️❗️❗️ Chauncey is the same way. I have seen him attempt to pull a 300 guy down he pulled his shirttail back out of my shuttle bus when he stuck his head in there to look. He was a friend of mine but Chauncey had never seen him and I told him just to peek inside my bus and see what I’ve done to it, I did not realize Chauncey would do that but he made me a proud mama❗️❗️❗️ Chauncey loves people but don’t anybody mess with his home or his mama
Kat I agree with you so much. Camping with groups and camping solo are wonderful, either way. I do miss you though. ❤Getting The knock is very unpleasant especially when you’re asleep.
Hey Kat, I don't know if you remember but a couple years ago you did a pets on parade and we sent you pictures of our pets and told you about them. Will I too I'm flying solo and my co-pilot was Taz. He was my best friend of 17 years we went everywhere together and we did everything together. The sad news I have to give you is that I had to put Taz to sleep because he had a severe case of heartworms. So a word to you in all your subscribers please check your dog bring them to the vet have them check for heartworms because they grow so fast and will take your best friend. I know that vet visits can be expensive at times but it's very much worth it if you can just get a heartworm test for your furry friend. I really enjoy your videos with RJ and all about your experiences and travels keep them coming. Thanks Kat & RJ.
@jdee150 I remember Taz. I'm so sorry for your heartbreak. A 17 yr partnership leaves deep pawprints on your heart. My heart breaks for you. With time may your sweet memories replace your tears with smiles.
I so so wanted to be able to meet you and RJ this summer. My van needs steering work and shocks. So I made the mistake of buying a minivan and just ended up buying someone else's problems. Dang it. I should have tried to get a loan to fix big red. Not sure what my next move is going to be but I sure hope it gets me to quartzite. Happy trails and stay safe Kat. 🙏💗🙏

I agree! I need a mixture of social time and time alone. And as for RJ, what a boy! The most social and friendly of dogs can sense danger especially when they feel their owners energy change to feeling threatened, they will instantly mirror that energy and without hesitation can be a formidable defense and often will fight to the end to save their owner!!! But just RJ’s size alone is often enough to make someone think twice before confronting you. Bless you RJ ❤️
I think most folks end up camping the way they do, just because it's the way they like it. I've known folks that would never even consider boondocking, others just the opposite. I think it pretty much comes down to two things, where your life is at, and what your personality type is. Loneliness and boredom are real things solo acts have to deal with from time to time, but that's pretty easy to fix. As you pointed out, the freedom to go wherever you want, when you want, kind of fixes anything?

The sweetest moment with RJ 4:29.❤ We miss you and I get that way too on the balance of time with friends and needing time to recharge alone...been that way since I was a kid. On upcoming videos...would love to learn more about how renivations from the beginning are holding up and what changes you would like to make.😊

I swear RJ understands English, not just our specific words we use. It's the timing of his reactions. He enjoyed paddleboarding as much as I did. 😁 He's good at gifting me these moments while I'm recording.
