I felt like the questions asked here were really good, getting different perspectives answered & getting Richard Wolff to expand upon his points well. If only main stream media in the US asked honest questions like these.
it is true that soviet union was the first try of sosialism as a political and economical system its have given many thinks that we dont have today but after ww2 it have started to use wrong ways of production they use capitalistic system inside of the production the result was black market even so the didn't fall like many say... the had α coup from a part of the army still i agree that we have to learn from the second try of a sosialistik community and go for the 3rd
Wolff has a great dog and pony show. Predictable statements that merely point out the obvious flaws of capitalism with very little or poor alternatives of socialism.
I like how Professor Wolff explains things like he’s talking to a 5 year old. 😅 I’m not knocking him. He’s totally cool and the best economist in the world. But I’d like to see Rich Little do an imitation of him.
TRT, Thanks for up dates ,especially in the Economic System of Captalism. With such doom n gloom of financial system that comes heavy on ordinary working class people all over the world. This Fiinancial System is 'Bonanza zone' for rich n powerful. They must be paranoid if it crumbles.....so ways n means are put in place,it seems, to hold it tight.
Capitalism might be failing, but Communist regimes cannot be allowed to succeed if we are not all to lose our freedom, (what freedom we have). Professor Wolff does not provide an answer to that.
China's success in creating billionaires is hardly a cause for optimism. It sounds like the main thing Russia and China have going for them is not being America.

Wolff understands that corporate tyranny and government tyranny are essentially the same thing, and that ordinary people will always be enslaved to either one or the other until they gain democratic control of wealth-production itself.
