- After a stellar morning of yellowfin tuna fishing we decide to change gears and target golden and blueline tilefish. We search out some new spots based on topography/bottom contours we have in other canyons. Capt Zac puts us on the fish immediately!!!!
man thats such an awesome trip, congrats cap
thanks as always Trance

Chris, you Zac and the boys are awesome! It looked like such a great time! We’re hoping to get out SOON! 😫
Thank you so much for the kind words
Another stellar outing! love it!
More to come!
Amazing trip Chris. Well done.
Thanks 👍
Ahhh a reaper video on my day off. Nothing better!
Hope you enjoyed it!
i didn't know fishing was great up that far north. im from fort lauderdale. good stuff. we get blue lines in 450ft or so and goldens in 700 plus. Don't get them thick like that though. And tuna like that for us is 70 plus miles out. we can get black fin tuna only 2 miles out though. if you go to the keys humps you can get 30lb black fin which are great eating. nice work. just found your channel.
thanks so much for watching!! I went to college in Melbourne, FL. Always used to hear about "the other side of the stream" for the yellowfin tuna. Maybe someday I'll move back
Great channel & videos Chris! Your guy's knowledge and Passion is very cool! If you ever want to do some Fishing in the Raritian Bay when the Bass bite is Insane, just let me know.
thanks so much!!
REAPER!!
Awesome man
thanks as always CW
Well done gents , love the Info great content
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome Day. Awesome Job Gentlemen!!!
thanks so much for watching!
Great video Chris. I always pit the Tanacom in high gear immediately after a bite and have noticed less loss of fish.
ok thanks Ciro. We took the reel apart and seems like it's gotta be the motherboard. Seems like it's not worth it to have repaired
Awesome work guys! I’m out of Indian river marina in Delaware, I probably see you guys out there a good bit over the years. Awesome to see guys jigging for them, all I use to catch them is slow pitch jigs no bait, manual crank on an accurate 500
that's awesome on the hand crank. You won't catch me doing it though!
You guys should definitely look into slow pitch gear and try it out on them some time! Hope to see you guys out there this season. I run a 25 Grady sailfish!
Will do
Awesome trip. Nicely done. Thanks to the inspiring videos.
Can you pls tell us a little about your boat? Make , model, year, power, cruising speed? Thaks capt. Hope to see you out there.
will do. hoping to do a full boat tour
Fingers pointing at maps. “Science says they should be here”. First drop 30 seconds later Josh “ I’m on”! 😂
All the Bill Nye videos growing up finally paid off!

Whens that big eye video coming? Great trip there Chris and crew.
Very soon!
sick trip!! thanks for sharing!!
thanks so much for watching!
Happy Birthday. Am I wrong? I thought I recalled you shared it with my son
yes you are right. We share that day. I'm not one to celebrate however
Great trip Capt!! Do you know the size of the jigs and what pound braid you used? They were in 350 ft? Thank you.
I honestly don't know. That's Josh's department. Yeah we have some shallow spots in 350-400 feet
Quick question, your tuna chunking set ups, how much top shot mono leader are you putting on before your fluro leader?
50 -100 yards
Love video chris as always !
Lennar would love to sponsor a trip with you!
thanks so much for watching!!!
@@reaperfishingnj8623 hopefully you guys had some fun with that sailfish bite at linden
Any experience with the new Tanacom 1200? I'm on the fence on buying one given the problems I've seen multiple people have with the 1000's.
no personal experience. I had the Tanacom 1000. gave us probably 7 or 8 flawless years. Finally took a crap a week or so ago. sent it in to Daiwa so we will see what the problem is.
Hey captain great video what electric setup is on the penn reels? Do you charter or fish with the crew
That is the Fish Winch 2.0. We are not a charter
@@reaperfishingnj8623 thanks for the info tight lines
Where are the Zack custom rods available at? Lol
ha
Were you using circles for the tilefish?
yes sir
Would love to fish with you guys. Keep up the dope vids! @@reaperfishingnj8623
Do you do Charters....
sorry we do not charter
It’s cool that’s only a $799 blueline tile 😂
Ha. Yeah they're pricey little suckers
You do overnight trips?
yes just not as many as we used to
@@reaperfishingnj8623 that’s cool. But I really meant it was do you do charters lol but I had already looked you guys up after I posted that and I saw that you are not a charter boat! All good
Can you do a video on how to do a spread for tuna
yeah I'll try and work on it
@@reaperfishingnj8623 thank you!!!
