  • I was curious to see what the ocean would look like 500 feet (152.4m) below us while fishing for Golden Tile fish in New York with Capt Dave Pincus from the REEL WORLD CHARTER FISHING. You will notice the sunlight dissipate as we drop deeper. We caught a lot of tunas and golden tile fish that day.

    Awesome video! I’ve done several TNT trips and fished up to 1,200 ‘
    It’s amazing how long it takes to hit bottom. Do you use circle hooks? The reason I’m asking is because when the first fish hit he ran off and wasn’t hooked. Trying to set the hook with J hooks is tough.

      Thank you! 🙏😊 Yes, we were using circle hooks. Good eye! It is definitely difficult to set the hook with the extra heavy sinkers. Can't believe how dark it is down there 😊

    The extra swivels causing all that noise?

    • @RafSowiOutdoors
      @RafSowiOutdoors  2 года назад

      Yes and the vibration of the leader line. It did actually help get the tilefish's attention

      In this case we used a manual reel. But some of us also used electric reels that day. It is a long way for sure! 😊

    How to take 3 minutes of interesting video and make a 10 minute youtube waste of time.

    • @RafSowiOutdoors
      @RafSowiOutdoors  3 года назад +3

      The purpose is to allow viewers to experience what it's like dropping down 500-600feet, seeing how the sunlight dissapears as you drop deeper and what it's like to reel back 500-600 feet up 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting! 🙏😊
