Yeah pretty strange but if that was enough to make someone mad then I think they probably have bigger problems. I try to keep it fun and show it that way so thank you!
Thanks for posting! A Camera does not show how steep a terrain those trials sections were on. Congratulations on the trials podiums -you and your camera person.
No problem, it’s always tough to give the terrain difficulty justice though. At least the people that were there know what it was really like! Thanks, good to see you there enjoying the sport.
Awesome exhibition of that bike. It's nice to see a really skilled rider put it to the test. Never owned a carbon bike, but if it didn't break after all that then it must be pretty tough! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I used to be afraid of anything carbon but it has taken a lot of abuse on a few different bikes so I have come around over time. This one feels solid so far. 👍
Last time I did a cyclocross race on an E bike, and everyone was saying that I was on the wrong bike but next time I’ll use your words ‘’you’re never on the wrong bike”
Thanks for checking it out! Sorry I didn't talk about the bike as much as you hoped. I do feel it answered the title that yes it can be competitive in a variety of different competitions to some extent. I do have a couple other videos on the bike too, but feel free to ask any questions you might have that I didn't cover.
Sorry I talk too quick in these sometimes! I said my other rides on this bike that weren’t races were more comfortable. That was due to lower tire pressure.
@@PatSmage that makes sense. I almost thought you were saying something about the Rekon Race tires. I'm running Rekon 2.4 R and 2.6 F on my DV9 and am always interested in trying something new.
Nicely done in all events. Just for conversational claims "heheh", maybe you could say you'd have placed 10 higher had you not stopped for air. My learning how to hop rocks and wheelie like that will be my next goal (me starting fresh unable to even manual or wheelie, that is) @PatSmage - Hey Pat, I'm putting a parts list together now. What's a good rim to look into for this frame to do all that you did in this vid? I'm okay with anything to include carbon.
6:49 I would have replied: "It ain't the meat, it's the motion!" Some people like this guy they seem to think that material is everything. It's not. It's the fun that matters! 👍🏻
He has it on Gopro, so I would have sued him. This is an unacceptable thing to do. I never spit knowing there are a lot of people around that can be hit.
Well I guess that could be considered three strikes… but I raced a gravel bike at one last year and got heckled for having a visor on my helmet so I’m sure they will always find something, haha. I would have kept riding/racing that bike but I think the drop bars caused some knee pain that I couldn’t completely figure out, so it is MTB or nothing for now.

Hello! Do you think the bike will feel weird with 130mm fork as opposed to 120? Planning to get a DV9. I have the possibility to get it with a fox 34 130mm, so the BB would be higher, and the stack a tad higher (I like higher stacks, I have long legs). I appreciate you helping me out. Thanks!
I think it would be really good with that setup as long as you don’t mind it being a little bit more slack. It feels like it has room to go with that option and still ride “right”. I’m tempted to try it myself some day.
@@PatSmage I know, I myself experience many roadies going mad at me when they cannot get rid of me riding in their... how do you say "Windschatten": draft, slipstream? One of the roadies complained about the loud noise my tires were making. I couldn't care less, because if they are not fast enough it's their problem as the true reason for them getting mad is their frustration about the fact that they are not fit enough to even be faster than someone on a fatbike despite them sitting on an expensive and supposedly fast roadbike. It's an ego-thing to them, nothing else.

165mm crank length isn't the standard? I have never had a bike that came with another size- maybe that was just "luck"
