I love a lot of his music, and while I definitely think he lost the Em beef, I think he deserves props for even managing to keep his career after that. One hell of an artist.

You ain’t gotta like Machine Gun Kelly.. but you can’t deny the musical ability this man has. Anyone who says he can’t make music and he can’t rap is just fronting. He wouldn’t be as big as he is if he wasn’t musically gifted. He’s not gonna be in everyone’s top 5 or top 10 or top 50. But the dude has talent. Especially considering he can do rap and pop punk. He doesn’t box himself in and you have to respect that. That’s the thing about music. We all have different opinions on who’s the best, but we all know what’s good. And Machine Gun Kelly has talent. He’s not the best lyricist. He doesn’t have the best flow. But the dude can tell a story and make you feel his music. That’s something a lot of artists don’t have. They don’t have the ability to make the fans FEEL the music. Machine Gun Kelly is in my top 5 but I respect those who say he’s not in their’s. For me, it’s more than just the music. It’s the way he gives back. It’s the way he’s always been ride or die for his fans. He knows he wouldn’t here without them and always gives back. It’s the way his music has helped me and showed me that I’m not alone. He’s got songs that have saved my life.

This came as a surprise to me when I was scrolling through Spotify omw home from work the other day. I was so happy to see that he uploaded the lockdown sessions and added this extra verse to Smoke and Drive. Had me doing the stank face the entire track lol. MGK is not just a good rapper. MGK is not just a rockstar. He’s a pure musician, and one of the most talented ones out by far. And I’m glad more people are seeing that. Like you said Shaq, people gotta get over the Eminem beef. I’ve been an MGK fan for a long ass time and it’s good to see he’s still killing it, and killing it in multiple genres.
I grow up in 2000’s punk and that is still my jam & tickets to my downfall helped me a ton through the pandemic. The dude is good, hate him, hate his weird relationship but stop with the bag licking just because he got bodied my Eminem. He is a good artist, all shit aside.
