Kwame spoke with such a poetic tone and rhythm reminiscent of Gil Scott Heron. May both these great men Rest In Eternal Peace 🙏
"A corrupt instrument can never lead a people to liberation... at all." -Kwame Ture

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NIV

"Those who would be free must strike the first blow" I can't remember who first said this. We as oppressed peoples react way too often-when and where we must initiate. Common sense says that to win we must plan, strategize, prepare ourselves, and then we can expect to win. We often allow our opponents/enemies to set the stage, determine the tenor and tone of the struggle. We must seize the initiative! We can create our own "game" by throwing out the "rulebook"! My position has long been that the best defense is a great offense. I'm proud Kwame Ture was one of my first direct and inspiring teachers in the Movement. We best honor him by actualizing what he taught: work for others' freedom not just our own as individuals, fight capitalism and all of its evils, study and teach- the great cultures and history of struggle-not just defeats but also victories-by all our oppressed peoples', build up the mass struggle by organizing the masses, amongst the masses.
Organize organize organize!
Now I see what KRS saw in Kwame

He speaks such important facts and I really really wish he was more known. Our struggle will forever remain until Black people understand mobilization vs organization. We are not moving correctly that is why significant change has not been made.
he was more know they just ignored him like they did neely fuller peace be upon his name kwame

Salams,
I have just come across the honourable Mr Kames Ture , on YT for the first time. His lectures and analysis are incredible ! This gem has been kept from us. His discussions on Zionism, are still true today , and he was way ahead of his time.
His lectures ate totally unscripted , just amazing !❤
This is such a powerful and beautiful speech. Thanks for sharing this.
He’s a moron. Why is there not a single successful black majority country on earth?

Thanks for watching!
Such a sharp brother, very very intelligent.
Timeless.
Wow. This is it.
I am so grateful for Kwame, but that transphobic comment at 10:50 did not age well.
Yeah it was an unnecessary aside and you can tell the folks in the audience thought so too. Thankfully we can take the lessons and are not bound to repeat the same mistakes.
@@aaprpsouthwest And I definitely agree with his larger point about the way knowledge is turned towards profit and away from humanity. Just take issue with his example is all. :)
@@trevorsmith8950 its important to talk about. Transphobia is normal in older generations
That comment also seemed to be reducing womanhood to the child-bearing role, which unfortunately echoed a quote he is reported to have said in the '60s: 'The only position for women in SNCC is prone.'
Organize Organize Organize
Great information he always delivers...
"We know when we understand
Almighty god is a living man
You can fool some people sometimes
But you can't fool all the people all the time
So now we see the light
We gonna stand up for our rights!"
(0:44) An abbreviated version -- the full quote is, 'You can fool some people all of the time, and all people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all of the time.'
I will all ways love u big bro thank u Bru for ur mind and ur dead action I won't let you down Bru you ain't live and struggle in vain,,, I can assure one luv Always,,,,,,
Even more relevant today...this should be taken seriously and implemented among our leaders
Organize for our Self Preservation and Independence regardless of "Racism" (We must become an organized people...We must become "problem solvers" )
Looking for the lecture where he speaks on the pitfalls of individualism
Well spoken. Facts
Great rise Africa
great info
Brother Kwame!
We are a disorganized people. We have to get this together. B4 we do anything.
This in itself will but fear in them. And put us in the driver seat to where we need to change
(9:11) Referring here to Ron Brown, DNC chair who would later be Secretary of Commerce.
Can anyone make sense of what he says at 29:32? What is/are the word/s before 'position'? It sounds like 'claire poise.' 'clear poised position'? That doesn't really make sense. Closed captioning renders it as 'Clare boys position,' which doesn't make sense either.
11:00 students and revolution
21:00 Injustice and complicity
A classic
❤❤❤✊🏿🎼🥲2024 STILL
We should not refer to ourselves as countries or continent. Human is the only valid label for us.

The shooting death by police of a man named Clement Lloyd, January 1989.
