I worked with Kwame in the A-APRP for 7 years until his transition. What people don't know about him is that he had a great sense of humor. He always knew how to make us laugh. That is rare for someone who engaged in such serious political work every day of his life, and it taught me the necessity to continue work in the revolutionary struggle for Pan-Africanism.
NkrumahTure Wow you are so lucky to have work side by side with him. If it wasn't for my search of knowledge of self, I wouldn't have known he exist because of course the school doesn't teach it
@107185189984160201775 Yes. It was just one of many that I got the privilege to work with this brother, he was something else.
NkrumahTure Is AAPRP still active
You only live once Yes.
NkrumahTure bro where is the AAPRP
This speech was absolutely invigorating. Hearing this man speak nurtures the revolutionary fire in my heart. Rest in power Comrade Ture
41:00 putting this here for future reference. "You do not judge a system by its adherence, you don't judge it by it's believers, you judge it by its principles". What an excellent mind
Ha! I came here specifically trying to remember this moment! Thanks for the short cut!!
"King's greatest contribution to us as a people was he taught us to confront the enemy without fear" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I enjoyed every minute of this. Rest in Power, Kwame Ture!
I agree
I have not seen all the footage of Kwame on just youtube alone but from my time so far, I think this may be his best speech put to film. He hits so many points with such brilliant charisma. What a genius of oration. The points he elucidates here are not his entire belief but this is the best starting point for anyone looking to learn more about Kwame Ture or Nkrumism
It's true. His mother was in the audience so I feel like he was motivated by her presence.
I was Blessed to see Dr Kwame Toure in Malcolm X Park ,Washington DC 1985
I always come back to these lectures around brotha Kwame's birthday. Happy birthday comrade! I love, appreciate, and am forever indebted to your struggle. 🙌🏾 Though I'm mostly pessimistic about revolutionizing the Niegreau, the last 12 hours of hearing your voice drill into me how important my work will be for future soldiers is encouraging beyond measure.
A great Pan African warrior, leader and hero for African people who didn’t compromise with anyone and he put his life on the line for Africans globally. Kwame Ture 41-98.
"Put them in the library, no one will read them." He's right. My college's library had a hardcover copy of Blood In My Eye by George Jackson. They had it on a free book shelf and I grabbed it, looked into it, this book is decades old and the checkout list was empty.
Such a powerful speaker, solidarity from a chicano looking to organize his own people✊️
20:44 "The truth is so powerful that even liars must spit it out"
Knowledge reigns supreme , powerful speech, Rest in Power Dr. Kwame Toure. Master Teacher.
A great human being he had such powerful words and his devotion to his people gives me hope for all of humanity
One of the greatest speeches ever
The only way that you can seriously help your people is when you organize for the people - Kwame Ture
Kwame Ture speaks...
still resonating to this day
How do we join kwame ture's revolutionary party?

Kwame spared that child wannabe professor at the end, because that fool was talking absolute nonsense.
Is there a transcript of this speech anywhere?
You could make one!

Prime Minister of the BPP
Organizer for the All-African People's Revolutionary Party.
What about the orthodox Ethiopians??? Progress n struggle is not eternal. It may be continuous though. If its eternal that would mean you struggle after you pass over. Eternal is forever there will come a time when things will change. Watch its already changing before your eyes its get worse before it gets " better"

So no he was not a informat
you’re thinking of william oneal
African American Factionist
He explicitly does not use or endorse the term 'African American,' in fact he is against the term arguing instead that we are all Africans. Of course, only people who listen to the video can have access to that information.
Max Rameau Wrong. The Master Teacher along with others helped to push forward the term African-American in order to connect Africa in the minds of Blacks in America. Do your research on this. This term African-American was a necessary step. See how you are African before you are American. Thats Revolutionary thanks to people like Kwame Ture
Nova Knowself Kwame Ture has said that he and the AAPRP called for the use of the term "African" in the late 1970s and that the old civil rights guard turned that around and turned it into "African-American." He did not use or approve of African-American.
Kwame Ture said it was his goal to have African on the lips of every black person in the nation and he accomplished this. So please tell me where he said he didnt approve of a tactic he organized. Also I am studying with the AAPRP
The old guard was fine with being called negro. The Black Power movement made connecting our struggle with Africa possible. Thus the rejection of the old guard Negro/Colored to African-American which simply means I am an Afrikan in Amerikkka
pure joke--never owned a house and car at the seme time.
That doesn’t make him a joke. You can’t take a house or a car with you when you die. He was one of the people who spearheaded the civil rights movement. He is one of the reasons a Black person in America can sit, eat, shit where they want and vote. Obama (I don’t like him but he has historical significance) would not be in the White House if not for Kwame Ture and others. He risked his life to give millions of Black people legal freedom.
He has been dead for over 20 years, but you know of him and came across the video. I’m not even American and know of him. He’s known across the world. Kwame is in the history books but is a ‘loser’ because he didn’t own a house or a car. You that has one, who are you? Who will remember you when you’re gone? What have you achieved of real significance to advance humanity? Don’t measure a human being by the possessions they have. Wake up from your capitalist brainwashing their is more to life than being in the rat race waiting for the ‘dream life’ to come your way. For most that will not happen.
Thank you so much for your post. So sad that some people measure ones worth by material possessio
@@bpendarvis523 have you ever been homeless? have you ever been raped? have you ever been denied work? so said you live in a make believe world. Barbara Bush said to me, you want a make believe world. You live in a make believe world. Try waking up in a shelter, try fighting a lion w/ a sword. u don't know SHIT!
Owning a house does not give you a home and just because he did not own a house does not mean that he did not have shelter. Also wtf does rape have anything to do with that or being homeless? You don’t know who you’re talking about and you don’t know what they have been through. Asking presumptive questions makes you look like a fool. Btw whatever Barbara bush said is stupid af, so instead of wanting and dreaming of a better world you have chosen to accept the world you’re in now. Be the change you want to see in the world. You’re a sheep of capitalism and maybe you should try educating yourself.

Kwamy be da man
How did the FBI/CIA not get him, like they did so many others?
edit: glad they didn't of course, but the question still stands
Oh, they were coming after him. He moved to Ghana in 1968 (?) both because he wanted to build something (as opposed to just trying to destroy something) and to avoid being murdered. With that said, he insisted that his cancer was given to him by the CIA, which means they did get him.
ture said his safety was due to his organization. he has another quote somewhere about “malcolm x got killed when he was *between* organizations. i understood *that* “
time stamp for the answer to your question is about 1:16:05
