    I worked with Kwame in the A-APRP for 7 years until his transition. What people don't know about him is that he had a great sense of humor. He always knew how to make us laugh. That is rare for someone who engaged in such serious political work every day of his life, and it taught me the necessity to continue work in the revolutionary struggle for Pan-Africanism.

      NkrumahTure Wow you are so lucky to have work side by side with him. If it wasn't for my search of knowledge of self, I wouldn't have known he exist because of course the school doesn't teach it

    I have not seen all the footage of Kwame on just youtube alone but from my time so far, I think this may be his best speech put to film. He hits so many points with such brilliant charisma. What a genius of oration. The points he elucidates here are not his entire belief but this is the best starting point for anyone looking to learn more about Kwame Ture or Nkrumism

    I always come back to these lectures around brotha Kwame's birthday. Happy birthday comrade! I love, appreciate, and am forever indebted to your struggle. 🙌🏾 Though I'm mostly pessimistic about revolutionizing the Niegreau, the last 12 hours of hearing your voice drill into me how important my work will be for future soldiers is encouraging beyond measure.

    "Put them in the library, no one will read them." He's right. My college's library had a hardcover copy of Blood In My Eye by George Jackson. They had it on a free book shelf and I grabbed it, looked into it, this book is decades old and the checkout list was empty.

Eternal is forever there will come a time when things will change. Watch its already changing before your eyes its get worse before it gets " better"

      He explicitly does not use or endorse the term 'African American,' in fact he is against the term arguing instead that we are all Africans. Of course, only people who listen to the video can have access to that information.

    • @TheMaddBlackMann
      @TheMaddBlackMann 9 лет назад +1

      Max Rameau Wrong. The Master Teacher along with others helped to push forward the term African-American in order to connect Africa in the minds of Blacks in America. Do your research on this. This term African-American was a necessary step. See how you are African before you are American. Thats Revolutionary thanks to people like Kwame Ture

    • @maxrameau4695
      @maxrameau4695  9 лет назад +21

      Nova Knowself Kwame Ture has said that he and the AAPRP called for the use of the term "African" in the late 1970s and that the old civil rights guard turned that around and turned it into "African-American." He did not use or approve of African-American.

    • @TheMaddBlackMann
      @TheMaddBlackMann 9 лет назад +2

      Kwame Ture said it was his goal to have African on the lips of every black person in the nation and he accomplished this. So please tell me where he said he didnt approve of a tactic he organized. Also I am studying with the AAPRP

    • @TheMaddBlackMann
      @TheMaddBlackMann 9 лет назад +2

      The old guard was fine with being called negro. The Black Power movement made connecting our struggle with Africa possible. Thus the rejection of the old guard Negro/Colored to African-American which simply means I am an Afrikan in Amerikkka

    • @feyrol42
      @feyrol42 4 года назад +42

      That doesn’t make him a joke. You can’t take a house or a car with you when you die. He was one of the people who spearheaded the civil rights movement. He is one of the reasons a Black person in America can sit, eat, shit where they want and vote. Obama (I don’t like him but he has historical significance) would not be in the White House if not for Kwame Ture and others. He risked his life to give millions of Black people legal freedom.
      He has been dead for over 20 years, but you know of him and came across the video. I’m not even American and know of him. He’s known across the world. Kwame is in the history books but is a ‘loser’ because he didn’t own a house or a car. You that has one, who are you? Who will remember you when you’re gone? What have you achieved of real significance to advance humanity? Don’t measure a human being by the possessions they have. Wake up from your capitalist brainwashing their is more to life than being in the rat race waiting for the ‘dream life’ to come your way. For most that will not happen.

You don’t know who you’re talking about and you don’t know what they have been through. Asking presumptive questions makes you look like a fool. Btw whatever Barbara bush said is stupid af, so instead of wanting and dreaming of a better world you have chosen to accept the world you’re in now. Be the change you want to see in the world.
