@@danniinthewild im sure it didnt look boring! a garden with 4 ponds is hardly boring! im working on my second and much larger pond this year. I was told with sunflowers to only plant them on the borders as they attract sap eating insects when they start dying off in autumn. not sure if there is any truth in it but they often make sense to go in borders anyway, they have massive roots.

It looks nice, just keep it lighter for spring and summer then think about dark tones for autumn. We live next door to a farm so rats are constantly surprising us in the garden, not in the greenhouse 😂.
Newts eat small tadpoles, if the frog population is low the previous year I put them in a water butt until they get a bit bigger then put them back in the pond. Seems to work…

That would be nice from time to time! But no i just chip away at it when I can. My bf helped me put my fence up and he will also (begrudgingly) help with fixing up the big structures if I ask enough times 😅

Yes! I’ve found a yo-yo effect, i usually get a couple years of newts and then a couple years of tadpoles! 🪀😄 It’s so interesting to watch 🐸🦎🌿🩷
